To the entire Benetello Family:
It is with heavy hearts that we express our most heartfelt and deepest condolence to you and the entire family. Words cannot express the sadness and disbelief that we all feel, our hearts are heavy knowing our friend Martin is no longer with us. Martin was our son’s coach and the minute we joined he welcomed us with open arms. I know that things happen for a reason, and our son was meant to play on that team and to be with Martin and the coaching staff. He was a great coach and wonderful human being. We won it all that season, and will always have that beautiful memory to cherish with us always.
We thank God for his friendship and feel honored and blessed to have known him. We will miss his smile, and laughter and will remember all the good times together. He was a compassionate man and loved his little summer dearly, he was a wonderful father. He was and will always be an inspiration to us all, he will never be forgotten.
May God give you the strength to carry on and may it bring you comfort knowing that you have an angel looking over you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time, especially to sweet summer.
May he rest in peace.
ʺMartin you will be in our hearts foreverʺ.
Sincerely,
Mike, Lily, Michael and Nicholas Messina
My dearest Martin, they say people enter your lives for a reason a season or a lifetime. In my case, it was a reason. You gave me a beautiful child, our baby girl Summer. As I gaze at her I see you. Please know that she was the most precious gift anyone has ever given me. We love you, our heart aches for you and I promise to raise her to be the independent and compassionate daughter we set out to do as a team. Watch over her from above .
Daddy, mommy tells me you are a beautiful angel now. That when the moon is pretty, you did that for me. You taught me to love all animals and to always take care of momma. I promise to be a good girl for her daddy. I miss you papa. I will never forget you daddy, I love you always .
Remembering Martin as a kind & loving person. So sad to have lost him at such a young age. May he rest in peace.
