elevated rDB1n Obituary
With great sadness we announce that Martin has passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 73 years, Rose. Cherished Father to Fred (Joanne), Charles (Cindi) and Ingrid (Andrew). Adored Opa to Jason, Ryan (Stephanie), Megan (Phil), Adam, Macauley, and Great Opa to Noah.

elevated rDB1n Martin overcame several struggles early in life with courageous perseverance. His future brightened after he was smitten by Rose at a village festival. Three years later, they brought a growing family to Canada, their motto being “the children always come first”.

elevated rDB1n Martin was a hard-working, generous person, carrying two jobs for many years.

elevated rDB1n Martin’s interests included nature, horticulture, hockey, soccer, and snow-birding in Florida. He enjoyed old-time western movies and a glass of red wine with dinner. He strove to keep his mind sharp with sudoku puzzles and reading encyclopedias.

elevated rDB1n And of course, any time was a good time for music and celebration. His occasional stubbornness was sometimes a humourous frustration for the family.

elevated rDB1n Martin’s strength and courage carried him through, right to the end.

elevated rDB1n Martin will be deeply missed by Rose, his family, and friends. Prosit!

elevated rDB1n Our deepest gratitude is extended to the entire Del Manor Elgin Mills team for all their personal compassion and ongoing dedication and support.
