elevated dtMcn Passed away suddenly on September 22, 2020 at age 78. Loving husband of Jeanne (celebrating 52 years of marriage), devoted father of Donald and Joyce (David), and Opa to Lindsay and Jessica. He is survived by his siblings Georgina, Francisca, Augustin, and Melanie, and is predeceased by his sibling Victorine. Born in Jakarta Indonesia, he attended boarding school in Holland, continued to mechanical school in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1967. With humble beginnings and a $700 government loan, he eventually worked his way to a successful career in real estate. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, warmth, sense of humour, devotion to God, and work with the Legion of Mary. A memorial donation may be made to the Society of St. Pius X Ontario.
Oom Yan was a kind hearted man and will be genuinely missed.
