elevated xaNX4 Obituary

elevated xaNX4 It is with profound sadness that we share that our beloved mother, grandmother and treasured great-grandmother (“Nonni”) Mary passed away peacefully in the arms of her children and by the love she spent her whole life giving so freely on July 24, 2025.  Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her unwavering love, warmth, wisdom and grace.

elevated xaNX4 Mary was born in Rende, Cosenza (Italy) to Vincenzo LaValle & Marietta Sturino.  She grew up surrounded by the love of her siblings, Francesca (the late Adamo), the late Frank (Frances), Marcello (Kelly), Victoria, Rudy (Laurel) and her dear sister-in-law Mamie.   Each bond held ever so close to her heart.  Mom adored and loved all of her many nieces and nephews.

elevated xaNX4 Our dad Mike (2003) was the love of her life.  Together, they built a life grounded in love, family & devotion – a legacy carried forward by their children, Josie (Joe), Sal (Caroline) and Elena (Lawrence).  Her life blossomed through her grandchildren – Teresa (Yuce), Lisa (Sam), Christina (Christopher), Vanessa (Tim), Brian, Jenny & Ejay.  Mom’s face lit up at the mention of her 9 beautiful great grandchildren, all who lovingly called her “Nonni”.  Mary never missed a moment to share how proud and truly blessed she was.

elevated xaNX4 Mary was the heart of our family and extended family.  She made everyone feel welcome, whether you were family, a friend, or simply hungry for love.  Her table was never just a place to eat her delicious food, it was where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and memories were made.   Her strength was mighty. Her beauty was effortless, her grace constant.  She didn’t just pass through life – she elevated it for everyone she loved.

elevated xaNX4 We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and PSW’s at Vaughan Hospice.  During her final days, mom was treated with such dignity, compassion & warmth.  In recognition of their remarkable care, we encourage everyone to donate to Hospice Vaughan in lieu of flowers.
