elevated 0WCR8 It is with great sadness to announce that after a brief illness Mary Anne Neal (Wilflin) passed away on October 26, 2023 at 63 years old. Mary Anne will be welcomed in Heaven by her mother, Joan Wilflin (Crane), and her father Joseph Wilflin.
Mary Anne was born and raised in Etobicoke and moved to Brampton when starting a family. She will be terribly missed by her husband of 38 years, Arthur, her daughter Jennifer, her son Christopher (Jeanette), her two grandchildren Julie and Charlotte, her sister Bernadette (David) Pratt, and her brother Michael Wilflin.
Mary Anne lived a wonderful life and brought joy and kindness to everyone she knew. Mary Anne’s love of books led her to a long career at the Brampton Public Library, from which she retired in 2021. She had many decades-long, close friendships and she will be missed by many and their families. Arthur and Mary Anne loved to travel and were open to learning about the world and all it had to offer. Most of all Mary Anne loved her family and made them a priority at every turn. Her children and grandchildren brought her great pride and she was sure to show you a picture and share a story with every visit.
Mary Anne will be forever in our hearts.
If you are considering making a donation in her memory, one her favorite charities was the Diabetes Hope Foundation. They help provide education and resources to youth with diabetes.

I had the pleasure of working with Mary Anne at Brampton Library, and we had some shifts together when I helped out at MPV during the pandemic lockdowns. What stood out to me was how she lit up when talking about her family. One day I asked her what it’s like to be a grandmother, and beaming with pride she talked about how much love she had for her grandkids. I am sorry for your loss.
Mary Anne – my mellow friend – I will always remember our little shopping junkets, vacations, Zumba classes and just laughing at the silliest things.
I know how proud Mary Anne was of her family. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
I had the opportunity to work with Mary Anne at the MPV branch. She was a great Supervisor and always had a kind word and encouragement whenever I was feeling sad. Her smile and calm nature will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.
Our deepest condolences. The sweetest soul I think I have ever know. I worked with Mary-Anne for 30 years, a friend that stood by you, shared in your happiness and a kind ear when you needed one.
Another angel gone to soon. You will be missed my friend. I know you will be watching over everyone you touched from above.

I had the pleasure of working at the Brampton Library with Mary Anne. Both of us became grandparents around the same time, and as a result were able to share the joy of being grandmas. I’ll always remember her as being a very kind, gentle soul. My very deepest condolences to her entire family.
I worked with Mary Anne at Brampton Library. She always listened attentively to our customers and was very professional in her role. She helped her colleagues when they were struggling with something and made us feel able and confident. She had the most gentle voice and beautiful smile. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
I worked with Mary Anne at Brampton Library and remember how proud she was of her family. My heart goes out to all Mary Anne’s family and friends at this sad time. Please accept my deepest condolences.
My fond memories go back to the 60’s and 70’s when I did babysit Mary Anne and her siblings. I noted then her love of books and it is wonderful she could pursue a fulfilling career at the Library. Like her Mum, she had a warm smile and much family pride! Sending thoughts and prayers to all her family.
