It is with sadness that we announce our mother Mary Bernadette passed away with her family by her side at the age of 90. She was born in Rathdrum, County Wicklow, Ireland.
elevated ff1Jt She is predeceased by her husband Paul William Parker (1993) and her son Raymond Paul Parker (2019). Loving mother of Maureen and John (wife Lisa Boyse). Cherished Nana to Jack and Cara Parker and Michelle, Dyanne and Kevin Parker. And Aunt Benny to her many nieces and nephews all over the world.
elevated ff1Jt She is survived by her older sister Josie Comerford (nee Wilson) of Gorey, County Wexford, Ireland.
elevated ff1Jt Bernadette was a determined and independent spirit. She was the first of her Irish family to emigrate, on her own, in search of her future. She lived in several northern mining communities with her family and learned to swim, drive and tried to cross country ski. She returned to school in the same class as Raymond to get her high school diploma.
elevated ff1Jt Bernadette had the Irish wit in spades which she exhibited to the end. She was a passionate supporter of the poor and all animals in need, especially dogs. Her Catholic faith sustained her. We were proud of her fierce heart.

My deepest condolences Maureen and John and family. You know how I liked Bernadette and I certainly got a kick out of her. She was so funny and colourful. I felt a kinship with her and I appreciated that she liked me. She was one of a kind and my thoughts and prayers go out to you.
