elevated n4dDG MCGARRY, Mary (Marie) Elizabeth (Nee Tavignot) – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday November 19, 2021 at North York General Hospital in her 88th year. Mary was pre-deceased by Paul, her loving husband of 54 years, in 2009. She was a Loving and generous Mother to Sue, Mike ( Debbie) and Diane (Lino). A devoted Grandmother to Jennifer (Craig) , Stephanie ( Justin) , Ryan, Jacqui-Lee, Michael (Leanne), Stephen and Patrick. Mary was also fortunate to have a wonderful Great Grandson, Jackson. Survived by her sister, Helen (Peter) Kostin and her Brother in Law Terry (Anne ) McGarry. She was pre-deceased by her Brothers Richard, Marcel and Maurice. She is survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
elevated n4dDG Mary dedicated her life to her husband and family. She pursued both curling and golf and was an active member of the Donalda Club.
elevated n4dDG Family and Friends may visit at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd E, Thornhill, on Tuesday November 23 from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

My sincere condolences for your family’s loss. I knew Mary many years ago when she was a best friend to my sister, Maureen Hoey. Mary was maid of honour for Maureen in 1954. Maureen passed in 1966. Mary was always so nice and a favourite visitor at our house.

Joanne Chiapusso Nov. 24th at 9.53 am. I met Mary at bowling many years ago. She told me she had been good friends with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Tony Azzarello, through golfing. We’ve missed you Mary, at bowling, the past few years. RIP
