elevated yWBT0 MARY MUZZO (nee Maria Tenesi) Born on June 3, 1917 and died on August 30^th 2018.  Mary passed peacefully in her 101^st year, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.  Mary is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Emilio.  Mary is survived by her adoring son Basil (predeceased wife Nicole), granddaughter Angela, grandson Steven (Linda), beloved great grandsons Liam and Matthew, sister Jean (Carlo), predeceased brother Guido (Mary), predeceased sister Grace (predeceased husband Atillio), adored nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and cousins.  

elevated yWBT0 Mary emigrated from Francavilla al Mare, Italy and married the love of her life Emilio Muzzo in 1937. Together they lived a blessed life, making family and friends the center of their universe.  Mary’s core family values have been engrained in all those who have had the pleasure of sharing time with her.  Mary and Emilio’s home became the meeting place for many of life’s celebrations over the last 70 years.  Mary and Emilio welcomed many other friends and family who emigrated from Italy, offering them friendship, shelter and support as they began their new lives in Canada.  The memories Mary created for all of our family and friends will live with us forever, and for this we are truly blessed.

elevated yWBT0 The family will receive friends and family at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.) on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. The final rite of committal and entombment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers and in memory of Mary, donations can be made to the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation.
