elevated gZV4i With profound love and sadness, the family of Matilde “Pupetta” Monopoli announces her peaceful passing on October 4, 2025 — just one day shy of her 92nd birthday.
elevated gZV4i Born in Bari, Italy, Matilde lived a life defined by love, faith, and elegance.
elevated gZV4i Affectionately known as Pupetta, Matilde was the heart of her family — a woman whose quick wit, playful mischief, and bold energy brought colour to every occasion. A true lover of all things ornate and beautiful, she cherished her collection of dolls, treasured fashion finds, and her signature red hair. Above all, nothing was more important to her than family.
elevated gZV4i She was the beloved wife of Nicola Monopoli, and a cherished mother to Leonardo (Rossana), Ersilia (John), Pasquale (Dalia), Ottavio (Lea), and Maria (Frank).
elevated gZV4i Her legacy of love and laughter continues through her adored grandchildren — Tonya (Rocco), Nick (Lindsay), Giancarlo (Nicole), Dante (Jessica), Alisia (Anthony), Michael M., Michael R., Nikolas, Mathew, Victoria, Isabella, Vanessa, and Sabrina — and her precious great-grandchildren Justin, Noah, Olivia, Mila, Massimo, and Adamo.
elevated gZV4i Matilde is also survived by her loving brother Giuseppe (Margherita) and her dear sisters Giovanna and Rosa (Francesco).
elevated gZV4i She was predeceased by her parents Pasquale and Maria, and her dear siblings Michele, Nicola, Antonio, and Cosima. She will be deeply missed and remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family, both in Canada and Italy.

Goodbye Matilde you were a fantastic customer. You were like a grandmother to me you gave me so much advice every time you came to get your hair done you loved doing your hair too much all my customer who met you loved watching you talk to us and we had a laugh,now they all say goodbye to you.
