elevated 3XOF8 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Enrico Pellegrini, born on March 24, 1992, in Toronto, Canada.
elevated 3XOF8 Matthew was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought love, laughter, and warmth to the lives of all who knew him. He was a bright light in the lives of so many, and his loss will be deeply felt by his loving father, Danny; his devoted mother, Lucy; his beloved sister, Vanessa; and Adriano.
elevated 3XOF8 Matthew will forever be cherished by his family and friends. To know Matthew was to love him. He shared a special bond with each of the people in his life and created countless warm and treasured memories with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his loving Nonno Guido, and he will be reunited in peace with his grandparents, Enrico, Maria Grazia, and Angelina, as well as his beloved Zia Anna.
elevated 3XOF8 Matthew had a passion for enjoying life and creating lasting memories with the people who meant the most to him. He loved golfing, cottage life, hockey, and travelling, always embracing opportunities to experience something new and share special moments with family and friends. He was a true “foodie,” with a love for gourmet food and a genuine appreciation for fine wine, good company, and all the simple pleasures that made life special.
elevated 3XOF8 Matthew leaves behind many loving Zias, Zios, cousins, and incredible friends, all of whom will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
elevated 3XOF8 A best man to many incredible family and friends, and a godfather to his beautiful cousin, Mia. One of the many special roles Matthew would have been honoured to take on was that of godfather to baby Maximiliano. Though he cannot be here, he will forever watch over him as his guardian godfather—a bond of love and meaning that will remain a cherished part of his legacy.

Matthew( Pelli) to his friends was a friend of my daughters, Justine. He was a lovely caring polite young man cherished by a tight knit group of friends who laughed and filled life with fun and adventure. I am devastated by this news. I was lucky to meet you son a few years ago while working together and even though we worked on 2 different continents, Matthew has left a huge footprint. He was and will always be one of the most respected and admired person in the company. It was impossible not to love Matthew. He was one of the most generous, inspiring, funny and enjoyable person I’ve met. His passing has deeply moved me and as a mother myself I cannot dare imagine your pain. I want to say that I will remember Matthew through many things I do in life so his memory will always be alive. Matthew always spoke with great love about his parents and it seemed that he wanted you to be happy and proud and you should be: he was an incredible man and will remain so.

I spent every high school summer working with Matt at Westview. He’s probably the person I spent the most time with since we were 10 days on, 2 days off. Full days outside raking bunkers and filling divets. So much time together talking about nothing and everything.
He had the best sense of humor. His impressions of people were so spot on that most of our summer days were just spent laughing at him teasing me or others on the course.
I haven’t seen him in 10+ years but he was someone I would always hope to run into again because I knew it would feel like no time had passed. I’m extremely sad to think that day will never come now.
Grateful for the time I did have him as a colleague and friend.

Matthew was one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege of working with. He had such a warm smile, was always willing to help, always incredibly respectful and thoughtful, and had an amazing ability to communicate with everyone around him.
One memory I will always carry with me is the day we went for a drumming lesson together with the team. Matthew was so happy, so engaged, and so genuinely excited to be there. That was Matthew: present, curious, positive, and bringing his energy and kindness into everything he did.
It is incredibly difficult to accept that someone so young, kind, and full of life is no longer with us. I feel very lucky that I had the chance to know and work with him.
Matthew will always be remembered and honored by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. His smile, his kindness, and the memories he created with us will stay with us forever.

Today, the Gouveia family remembers Matthew with love. The Pellegrinis have been part of our lives for many years, and we are fortunate to call them not only friends, but family. Matthew will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories.
Matthew lived fiercely and boldly, pursuing his dreams. His sister called him her “favourite human.” Those words speak to the warmth and charm that drew people to Matthew, and to how deeply he was loved.
In our home, he was “Pellegrini.” We will forever remember that name echoing through our house, the days our boys played together, and Matthew’s laughter and warm smile. It was a privilege to watch him grow from a boy into an incredible man.
Matthew, your memory will never fade. We will cherish those moments and carry them with us always. May God hold you in His care and bring comfort to all who love you.

Our hearts are truly broken over the loss of Matthew.
We had the privilege of meeting Matthew in Mexico while attending a wedding, and as the week went on, we found ourselves saying to each other, “This guy is just too good to be true.” He was kind, thoughtful, funny, genuine, and simply a joy to be around. He had such a wonderful way about him, and he truly left a lasting impression on both of us.
There is one particular memory from the wedding that has stayed with us and, in so many ways, speaks to the kind of person Matthew was. We noticed a young boy who was trying to perfect his push-up. Matthew happened to see him and, rather than simply carrying on with the wedding celebrations, he walked over and took the time to teach him the proper form and technique. He patiently showed him how to do a push-up correctly, giving this little boy his undivided attention.
That moment moved us to no end. It was such a simple gesture, but it said so much about Matthew. In the middle of a celebration, he took the time to notice a young boy and help him. That kindness and generosity of spirit is something we will always remember.
The world has lost a truly fine young man, and our hearts ache for everyone who loved him. We cannot begin to imagine the pain his family and Natasha are going through. As parents ourselves, our hearts especially go out to his family. There are simply no words that can make a loss like this easier, but we hope they can find some comfort in knowing how deeply Matthew touched the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him—even those he knew for only a short time.
Matthew, we feel incredibly fortunate that our paths crossed, and we will always remember you!
