elevated S7z6v Obituary
elevated S7z6v With her family by her side and in spirit, May passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital in the early morning of March 2, 2026. Although May passed away due to cancer, she defeated the disease by living a life full of joy and happiness, keeping the disease in its place until she was to be received by our Lord and Saviour. She is survived by William, her husband of 61 years, daughter Josephine, and three sons William, Gerard and Bryan. Further, by her seven grandchildren, Michelle, Lenora, Ethan, Kendra, Ryan, Lillian and Brandon.
elevated S7z6v On May 1, 1940 Heaven came to earth as May was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She lived a life of adventure and travel that ultimately led to Canada in 1964, where she and William would be married and begin their new life together. In addition to being a gifted woman, she provided her family with inspiration through her loving actions, dedication to her faith and always smiling. May felt the most joy being with her family and friends, and in her love for singing and dancing.
elevated S7z6v While May has gone home, there is great sadness in our hearts. She made the world a brighter place through the people she connected with, especially her church community. We love you mum, and we know you are with us.
elevated S7z6v In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in May’s name to Covenant House, or the Catholic Women’s League.

May and I go back a long way .We played tennis at Earnscliffe tennis courts
We both belonged to Bramalea Cross sticks ladies field hockey team
In the 70’s.
May walked everywhere a lovely person.
I am so sorry for your loss.
With sympathy and caring .
.
Condolences to all the family, so very sorry for your loss, she will truly be missed by all who knew her, RIP May.
Fond recollections of great chats with May as part of the Scottish Connection after morning mass while Bill patiently waited. One fond memory was of May’s beautiful singing voice at our CWL or St John Fisher parish events. She will be missed.
Rest in Peace May.
My condolences to Bryan and family. While I never met Mrs. Divers, I’ve worked with Bryan and he’s a great person, so I attribute that to her influence.
I hope you all are able to take comfort in the many memories you have of her.
Having danced with May for many years (prior to the pandemic), I was really sorry to hear this news. She was a lovely person and will be missed.
My deepest condolences to the family. I will keep my fond memories of May in my heart – the good times and the laughter.
Such sad news, our condolences to the entire family.
Had known Billy and May for many years.
Fond memories when both families rented a house together in South Carolina for a weeks vacation.
If my memory serves me correctly, I remember May giving me fruit from a tree in their backyard from which I made jam with.
There will be another bright star shining. 🙏🙏
Sending you all so much love. Rest in peace May.

From the Belanger family down the street we offer our deepest condolences to your family.
Sincere condolences from the Quinn family.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Great memories of struggle and laughter while May taught myself and others Scottish dancing. From patiently coaching me through my strathspey poussette, to saving me from much embarrassment when I showed up at the Beginner’s Ball with my kilt on backwards. Thank-you!
Sending condolences to Billy and family. I met May at Bramalea Nets when I first came to Canada. She was such a good friend and a beautiful soul. Heaven has gained an angel. RIP 🙏
