elevated oD8HM It is with profound sadness that the family of Melissa Jean Harrison announces her sudden passing on August 14, 2022, in Scugog, Ontario, tragically after welcoming newborn son Nolan Bennett. Melissa was just 28 years old. Melissa was a loving & dedicated mom to Sebastian Harrison-Davis, 7 years old, who she described as the light of her life. To those who loved her she was naturally sweet – caring and gentle yet resolute in her beliefs. Steadfast fiancé to Kyle Bennett. Melissa had a special bond with her twin sister Natalie Therrien (husband Kevin & daughter Adelynne) and was adored and cherished by parents Kenneth and Kathryn Harrison. Sorrowfully missed by Grandmother Donna Harrison and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by Grandfather Gordon Harrison and Grandparents Anthony and Helen Boucher.

To the Harrison family, I am deeply saddened to hear of Melissa’s passing. I cried at the news in disbelief and shock. I remember her like it was yesterday. She and I had many deeply and personal conversations over the years and she was such a joy to see when she would come in for her dental appointments. I remember how happy she was to be pregnant with her son Sebastian, and I really saw her grow from a beautiful young girl into a beautiful woman and mother. I remember how close she was to her awesome sister Natalie, and her loving parents. This family was always so special to me, and always a pleasure to see. I was only her dental hygienist, but she touched me in a way that she and her family are unforgettable. We related to each other on many levels and I remember she would give me a hug after every appointment we had together. My prayers and deepest sympathies go out to Kathy, Ken, Natalie, Sebastian, and her fiancé and new born son. I wish you strength, and peace moving forward, and my thoughts are with you.
