It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we share the peaceful passing of Michele D’Amico on October 22, 2025 at the age of 97. Born on April 14, 1928 in San Massimo, Campobasso, Italy to parents Alessandro and Filomena. Cherished husband to Edda of over 67 years and loving father to his children Teresa (Sam), Joe (Lucy), and loving father-in-law to the late Aldo. Selfless and devoted grandfather to Danielle (Eric), Denise (Anton), Jessica, and Ally. Gentle-hearted great grandfather to Jonathan, Joanna, Marcus, Aurora, and Naomi. Beloved brother to the late Rafaele (late Giuseppina), late Massimo (late Libera), late Erminia (late Pietro), late Concetta (late Giovanni), late Giovanni (late Giuseppina), Giuseppe (Concetta), Carmine (late Lucia)
elevated l6yES Michele will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. He will be forever missed by his entire family and all the friends he made along the way.
elevated l6yES We are grateful to the staff of North York General Hospital with special thanks to the many doctors and nurses who cared for him. In recognition of the great care they always received there, Michele directed that a meaningful donation be made in his name to North York General Hospital.
elevated l6yES Michele lived a hardworking life filled with devotion to his family and friends. Throughout his life, he valued the company of family and friends, sharing laughter and stories. These are the moments that will live on in our hearts.
elevated l6yES In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal visitation or service. He asked instead to be remembered in the warmth of those gatherings, where love and connection meant everything to him. Also in keeping with his wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Michele D’Amico can be made to North York General Foundation (https://nyghfoundation.ca/)

Dear Teresa, Joe, and family members, my mom Carolina and I send you our deepest sympathy for the loss of your father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We remember your dad as a fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He and your mom had many enjoyable visits with my parents over the years, both at our home and theirs. My heart goes out to your entire family on the passing of your incredible father and Nonno. Though I only met him a few times, it was clear how deeply he loved his family and friends — that kind of love leaves a lasting mark. After nearly a century of a life well-lived, he’s now reunited with his beloved wife. Sending all my love and strength to everyone who knew and loved him.
