Obituary
After 70 years of marriage and a lifetime of shared love, Mike and Rose passed away just days apart, proving that even in death, they would not be separated for long.
elevated HUlS9 Married on May 21, 1955, they built a life rooted in devotion, laughter, resilience and family. They created a home that was always open, warm and full of love. Their marriage was a testament to patience, partnership and the quiet strength found in choosing one another every day.
elevated HUlS9 Together they raised 3 children and took pride in their 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren leaving behind a legacy of devotion, hard work and enduring commitment.
elevated HUlS9 Rose passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on January 24, 2026. Mike passed away after an extraordinary battle with a brief illness on February 9, 2026.
elevated HUlS9 In a fitting tribute to a love that endured through decades, seasons, and all of life’s joys and hardships, a joint funeral service celebrating their lives will be held on Valentine’s Day, a day that perfectly reflects the love story they shared.
elevated HUlS9 They will be remembered for their kindness, values, respect, humour, generosity and for the example they set, and for a love that will continue to inspire all who knew them.
elevated HUlS9 They were loving parents to Michael (Alexandra) and Gino (Diane). They were predeceased by their beloved daughter Angela and will be fondly remembered by their son-in-law Vince.
elevated HUlS9 They will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by their grandchildren Robert and Christopher, and their mother Rosemarie; Amanda (Anthony), Anthony (Caroline), Adrian (Sofia), Mark (Bianca), Matthew (Stephanie) and Sebastian; as well as their precious great-grandchildren Michael, James, Olivia and Nova. Mike and Rose will also be fondly remembered and missed by their many other relatives and friends.

We are HEARTBROKEN !
I did not know my Uncle Mike passed away. He was so kind & generous & funny. Uncle Mike made the best wine ever. Auntie Rose was so wonderful. Great cook & also funny. God, I will miss them so, so much.
Dear Michael, Gino, Vince and your families:
Thinking of you and sending our sincere condolences. We have such fond memories of Mike and Rose all through our childhood…seeing them at family picnics, weddings, visits at our grandparents’ and at the annual corn roast at our home in Oak Ridges. They were both such lovely people and always took time to chat with the young people.
Sadly, Mike and I will not be attending the funeral. We have a memorial gathering that day for my sister, Camille, who died Feb. 15th,2000. It is at my sister Audrey’s home in Belleville.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences to the family I came to consider my own during this time of sorrow. It was truly an honor to know Nono and Nona. Their love for one another was rare and beautiful something you could feel the moment you were in their presence. Nono’s warmth, his stories, and the gentle way he spoke about his life will always stay with me, and the way Nona looked at him with such devotion was unforgettable.
I will forever be grateful for the moments I was able to share with them and for the privilege of caring for them. They touched so many lives through their kindness, humor, and quiet strength. May the love they gave continue to live on in all of you.
Wishing the family comfort, peace, and strength as you grieve and remember two extraordinary souls who meant so much to so many.
I had known Nono and Nona for more than two years and was first introduced to them through one of their caregivers, Ruth, a very close friend of mine. One day, I video-called her to ask something important. As soon as Nono heard my voice, he asked who I was and then warmly invited me to visit. I gladly agreed. When I went to the Catholic church just a short walk from his home, I would often bring lunch for Ruth and stop by to see them.
Nono loved to talk, especially about his life in Italy, biking near the Adriatic Sea and sharing stories about his farm. His eyes would light up as he spoke.
We often stroll and have a walk around the block with Ruth on nice weather.
The last time I visited him while he was still well, he asked for a hug and told me I was a very good friend. His eyes were misty, and I sensed a quiet loneliness that stayed with me.
I saw him once more in the hospital, and that was the final time. I will always treasure those moments and the kindness he shared so freely.

96 vears of a life well lived My father in law was a genuine down ta earth man full of wisdom. He was a iack of all trades. Whether we called him to change wiring, install plumbing or build a fence he would drop everything and show up before we’d hang up the phone He loved his garden, woodworking, and powling. However his family was the center of his universe. He was a great storvteller who would bring us to tears with laughter. So many memories but the ones I will hold closest to my heart are the ones of his later years. His eyes woulo twinkle with appreciation and his hug was so full of love every time I visited to give the aift of time. The simple pleasures of sittina together on his porch eatting an ice cream, relaxing in his sunroom istening to stories of long ago or a strol around the block. It was a privilege to <now and love him. 1 will miss him dearly.
Many fond memories of time spent at the Natale home. Walking in from a cold winter and finding everyone in shorts and t-shirts because Mr. Natale had put a “little too much” wood in the stove… he would laugh and just say he was comfortable. Enjoying a slice of Mrs. Natale’s carrot cake…I sat at her table and took down her recipe….I still have the recipe on the ledger paper which she gave me to write it down. May they rest in peace.
Aunt Rose and Uncle Mike were always smiling. I have fond memories of how they took such a genuine interest in our lives- asking thoughtful questions and listening intently to what you had to say.
They had wonderful sense of humours and seemed happy wherever they were. We should all be so lucky to live so long side by side, touching many lives and leaving behind so much love.
There aren’t any words that I could put together on how I feel about these two blessed people. They treated me as part of their family while growing up and that I will never forget. I would often stop in on them both at least once per month to see how they were doing. We had long conversations and before I had a chance to sit down Mr. Natalie already had a drink poured for me. In the early years Mrs Natalie always had a piece of pie and ice cream ready for me. We would all sit together and talk. Both are gone now but will never be forgotten. I will miss you both

Mike and Rose were my neighbours for 28 years. We were more than neighbours, we were close friends. I will miss the daily chats at our backyard fence, talking about everything from how to prune tomato plants, to the crazy weather and how much water we needed each summer to keep the garden green! Their generosity had no limits, they loved to share everything they grew in the garden, giving us endless fruits and veggies over the years. They both loved our dog Jack and called him every time they came outside – and Jack would run up to the fence wanting to be pet. They were the best neighbours anyone can ever ask for. They will be missed dearly and never forgotten.
