elevated uWUV3 Obituary
elevated uWUV3 Peacefully at the age of 90 at Amica Newmarket, her home for the past 10 years. Devoted and loving, daughter, sister, wife (Reg – d 1990), mother (Gary, Brent, Mark and Jim), mother-in-law (Roxanne, Eleanor, Trudy and Jennifer), grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 2 and aunt to countless nieces and nephews.
elevated uWUV3 Our beautiful mother raised 4 rambunctious boys (5 if you count Reg) and she never wavered in her focus on, and love for, her boys. She guided Reg to Metropolitan Life where he found a lifelong career and they found lasting friendships.
elevated uWUV3 She was a chef, chauffeur, the family banker, sports mom, volunteer to numerous organizations, a superb pianist and choir member, and the centre of our universe, which she kept under amazing control. When dad passed far too young, she built a new life around travel, her friends, her Church and her return to the workforce. She was a consummate grandmother and never shy to voice an opinion.
elevated uWUV3 Her work which she continued into her late 70’s, was for a family friend, wherein she learned to manage a business computer and deal with customers literally around the world. Family gatherings became less about what her sons were doing, and more about a call she had, with a high school friend from 60 years ago (now living in Australia), while processing a book return. It was magical.
elevated uWUV3 10 years ago she moved to Amica and was blessed with yet another loving family of residents and staff. As always she voiced her opinions on just about everything and they were welcomed, for the most part. She continued her lifelong worship of the sun on the main floor balcony and her bronzed, unlined skin remained the envy of many.
elevated uWUV3 The love and support she received at Amica, right until her last breath, is greatly appreciated and our hearts go out to all those from Amica who mourn her.
elevated uWUV3 Mom, we were blessed to be your sons, and we are forever grateful for your love, support and guidance. ‘Be not afraid’ – ‘And he will raise you up on Eagle’s Wings’.

Years ago when I had just graduated from university your Mom made a comment to me about my being full of hope and promise. I found that as uplifting then as I do now.
Miriam shall be missed. Knowing she was still in the world made it a little brighter.
Deepest condolences from our family to yours. Aunt Miriam was a wonderful woman with the voice of an angel. She is at peace now and may your memories of all the good times flourish in your hearts and keep you strong.
Gary, Brent, Mark, Jim and your respective spouses,
I am truly sorry to learn of the passing of your mom. As was so aptly stated in your memorial tribute, she was more than anything, a great person. Not just a fantastic mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, but a fantastic person. We have thought of her many times over these last years as we watch our own mother battle some of the same challenges and we are relieved in knowing that she lived life on her own terms until it was time to go. Though we did not see her often recently, she will be missed and we will always remember her smile and positive spirit. She is back where she belongs, with your Dad, and I can only imagine how happy he is to have his beloved “Peach” back at his side.
I wish it were under different circumstances, but I look forward to seeing all of you on Friday to celebrate a life well lived. In the meantime, do your best to have a Merry Christmas as that is exactly what your mom would have wanted for all of you.
Dear Brent, Eleanor, Kyle, Blythe, and Devon,
We send our heartfelt condolences on the loss of a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, family member, and friend. Nothing can ever replace that of a kind and influential women in one’s life however there should be rejoicing and reflection on the wonderful memories that you all shared over the many years.
Thinking of you all on this day as you say your goodbyes to your dear mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Our deepest condolences.
To the Hubbard family;Although I never met your mom,I worked with your dad @Met and he often mentioned your mom and the family ,the love of his life.Fond memories of Reg,charlie brophy
