elevated bogGw Mirtha Llontop was born in Chiclayo, Peru on October 21st, 1947. Sister to Pepe, Antonio, and Sara and beloved wife to Manuel Miyashiro (deceased) and Luis Tsunami, loving mother of Patricia (Dino), Peggy (Chris), and Beatrice (Cameron). Mirtha shared tremendous pride in being Obachita to her six grandchildren: Kenzo, Dante, Adriano, Jaden, Brooklyn & Hudson. There’s nothing she cherished more than her family. Known for her inspiring strength, perseverance and stubbornness, Mirtha fought through many challenges throughout her life, overcoming each one stronger than before. From losing her husband at the young age of 28, to leaving her life behind in Lima and immigrating to Canada in 1988, to defying all odds and surviving acute leukemia which rightfully earned her the name of “Miracle Women” by her doctors, Mirtha truly exemplified courage, and hope, serving as a cornerstone for her family. She was a fighter her whole life and continued to fight until the very end. She graced everyone she met with friendliness and humour, blessing all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mi mami y yo vamos a extrañarte mucho. Dejas un preciado legado al mundo con tus enseñanzas y fuerza, a tus tres hijas y tus seis nietos. Gracias por los bellos momentos y las risas compartidas con todos nosotros, lindos momentos realmente… gracias por tu cariño y por tu amistad que valoramos y era recíproca a mil por ciento…. te estuvimos esperando en Lima en los últimos meses, que conversamos que venías, para disfrutar de las caminatas y conversaciones… pero Diosito tenía otros planes. Al comienzo es difícil entender; pero luego podemos darnos cuenta, aunque nos duela, que Dios nos llama en el momento que decide. Siempre te vamos a querer, a extrañar y recordar nuestros momentos compartidos contigo tía Mirtha.
Mi mami te dice: “Mirthita, estás en mi corazón y siempre te recordaré con todo mi cariño”.

Mi primis bella, mi tía preciosa. Su mensaje nos deja sin palabras, pero con un sentimiento de alegría y gratitud por darle la amistad y el amor de una gran amiga y como el de una hija hacia mi gordita bella. Uds siempre ocuparon un lugar muy especial de su corazón ya q fueron sus compinches de toda una vida. Escucharla hablar a mi mami de Uds y de sus anécdotas eran momentos de solo felicidad para ella. Ahora tenemos un angelito q nos mira y cuida del cielo. Gracias por darle esas alegrías y aventuras q ella vivió con Uds. por siempre en un lugar muy especial de nuestros corazones.
