elevated 6xYLx In Loving Memory of Monica

elevated 6xYLx With profound sadness, but with hearts full of gratitude for the life she lived, we gather to celebrate and remember our beloved Monica—a devoted mother, loving daughter, cherished sister, aunt, faithful friend, and extraordinary woman whose love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

elevated 6xYLx Monica was born on December 26, 1969, in Caracas, Venezuela, to her loving parents, Erika and Pedro. She was the second of six children and grew up alongside her siblings, Pedro, Andres, Tuny, Daniela, and Junior. From an early age, Monica possessed a joyful spirit, a generous heart, and a determination that would carry her through every chapter of her life.

elevated 6xYLx She attended El Liceo Los Alamos in Caracas, where the foundation of the woman she would become was built. Those teenage years were filled with unforgettable friendships, dreams of the future, music, laughter, first loves, heartbreaks, and the memories that she would carry with her forever. They were the years that shaped her vibrant personality and her deep appreciation for the people she loved.

elevated 6xYLx Monica began her working life at the very first McDonald’s to open in Venezuela, located in El Rosal, Caracas. There she met her first husband, Enrique and at the age of 21 she married and moved to the place she would always call her paradise—Margarita Island. There, she built a beautiful home filled with dreams, hope, and love. It was where she welcomed her two incredible children, Valentina and Gustavo, the greatest blessings of that chapter of her life.

elevated 6xYLx Although that marriage eventually came to an end, Monica refused to let hardship define her. She met every challenge with courage and resilience, choosing always to move forward with hope. Her strength led her to Toronto, Canada, where she began a new chapter and continued to conquer every mountain life placed before her.

elevated 6xYLx Years later, she met her second husband, Julio and they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Sofia. With Sofia’s arrival, one of Monica’s greatest dreams finally came true—to become the mother of three wonderful children. Being their mother was the greatest accomplishment of her life, and nothing ever meant more to her than her children. They were her purpose, her pride, her greatest joy, and the reason she fought through every obstacle with unwavering strength.

elevated 6xYLx Monica’s love for her children knew no limits. She was the kind of mother every child hopes to have—always present, always supportive, always leading with love and by example. Whether it was a celebration, a difficult day, or an ordinary moment, her children could always count on her. She gave them her whole heart, every single day, and she always knew in her soul that Valentina and Sofia would be cared for, protected, and deeply loved, no matter what life brought.

elevated 6xYLx Monica was also the best mother-in-law, embracing her son-in-law Andrei as if he were her own son. She loved him deeply, with pride and tenderness, and welcomed him fully into her heart and her family. To her, he was never “in-law”—he was simply her son, another child she loved and believed in.

elevated 6xYLx A woman of deep faith, Monica found peace, purpose, and belonging in her work and community at St. James Parish. There she built lasting friendships that became family and discovered comfort in the house of God. Her faith carried her through life’s greatest joys and its greatest trials, giving her the strength to face each day with grace and hope.

elevated 6xYLx Anyone who knew Monica knew her unforgettable sense of humor. She had a remarkable gift for making people laugh, even during life’s most difficult moments. She was kind beyond measure, endlessly generous, and always willing to put the needs of others before her own. She gave without expecting anything in return, loved without conditions, and welcomed everyone with warmth and compassion.

elevated 6xYLx Monica also inherited the beautiful stubbornness of our mom—a quiet determination that became one of her greatest strengths. She was an incredible cook and baker whose meals brought family and friends together, filling every gathering with love, comfort, and unforgettable memories.

elevated 6xYLx She was a devoted sister, a treasured friend, and an extraordinary aunt to her five nieces and three nephews, each of whom she loved deeply. Her presence made every family gathering brighter, every celebration warmer, and every heart feel more at home.

elevated 6xYLx Monica’s legacy is not only found in the life she lived, but in the lives she transformed through her kindness, courage, laughter, and unconditional love. She taught us that true strength is found in compassion, that faith can carry us through the darkest times, and that love is life’s greatest gift.

elevated 6xYLx Today, while our hearts ache with her absence, we choose to celebrate Monica—for her extraordinary bravery, her unwavering faith, her beautiful spirit, her infectious laughter, her generous heart, and above all, her immeasurable love for life and for the family she cherished beyond words.

elevated 6xYLx Though she is no longer by our side, Monica’s love remains woven into each of our hearts. She will continue to guide us in our memories, inspire us through her example, and live on through her beloved children, her family, and everyone blessed to have known her.

elevated 6xYLx Monica, your life was a gift. Your love was immeasurable. Your memory will be our greatest treasure.

elevated 6xYLx You will be loved forever, missed beyond words, and remembered for all eternity.
