elevated HRost It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our dearest Pasquale Panacci – beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Surrounded by his loving family, God called onto Pasquale on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the age of 83.
elevated HRost Pasquale immigrated to Canada from Pescosolido (FR), Italy in the Spring of 1963, along with his young family. He had only a few pennies in his pocket, but the dream of a new and prosperous life in his heart. The family settled, as so many of their compatriots did, in the St. Clair neighbourhood of Toronto. Pasquale found work as an operating engineer, with a specialization in constructing sewers and watermains. Over a 40+ year career, he laid the foundation for many of Toronto’s most well-known sites – which he would never fail to point out any time he drove past them.
elevated HRost Over the next two decades, the family grew by two and moved to North York, where the dream Pasquale had worked so hard for became reality. In the early 1990s, Pasquale was blessed with a grandson who quickly became the light of his life. He balanced spoiling him with teaching him important lessons about life. When Pasquale retired in 2005, he turned his attention full-time to three of his greatest passions: Italian cars, golf, and walking.
elevated HRost Throughout his life, Pasquale was a gracious host, a generous and loyal friend, a wise mentor, and an honest businessman. He left an indelible mark on everyone he met with his larger-than-life personality, his piercing blue eyes and his boundless kindness.
elevated HRost Pasquale was the beloved husband of Giuseppina for 61 years, the adored father of Lucy (Dino), Sandra (Giovanni) and Rosy (Stefano), and the cherished nonno of Luca (Alisha). He was a devoted son to the late Vincenzo and Rosaria Panacci, as well as a loving brother to Colomba (Emilio), the late; Ludovico, the late; Antonio (Maria), and the late; Luigi (Giulia). Pasquale shared a special relationship with his brother/sister in laws the late Antonio (Vincenza), Lucia (Agostino), the late Luigi (Linda), Mattia (Angela) and Domenico (Donatina). He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends both in Canada and in Italy.
