Obituary
Our hero, Rosario Cerisano passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on August 6, 2022, at the age of 87. His 4 year battle with medical issues showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with optimism, a smile, and a joke.
Despite the struggles, he came out as a hero and stayed strong until the end.  He was a wonderful husband to his wife Ida for 61 years; a great dad to Joe (Patricia), Anna (Louis), Mary (Rick) and Giovanni (Nadia).  He adored all his grandchildren, Michael (Pamela), Anthony, Matteo, Nicholas, and Amanda. He is predeceased by his parents, Giovanni and Giulia Cerisano, and his mother and father-in-law, Giuseppe and Virginia Ciardullo.  The 6th of 11 children, he will be missed by his siblings, Antonietta (the late Domenico), Francesco (Gina), Rita in Belgium (the late Rocco), the late Irma (late Pietro), the late Sante (Irena), Immacolata (Giuseppe), Davide (Antonietta), the late Giuseppe (Karen), Rocco (Rosamaria), and Carmela (Franco); and in-laws, the late Giovanni, Maria (Tonino) in Italy, Emma (the late Salvatore), Orlando (Fernanda), and Paul (Anna). He will also be missed by all his many nieces and nephews.

Our dad came to Canada as a 19-year-old with his brother Sante in 1953.  He married mom in 1961 and they had 4 children that they raised with love and affection.  Dad was a carpenter by trade and used his numerous skills throughout the years, even long after retirement, to help his children and other family members. We will forever miss his guidance but are secure in knowing that dad is looking down from heaven and continuing to guide us always. Love you forever and a day dad!
