elevated eoBL0 With sadness, we announce the passing of Nicholas “Nick” Selvaggi on February 10, 2024. He will now be joined in heaven with his parents Alfredo and Soccorsa and his granddaughter Inés. Beloved husband of Julie. Loving Father to Deanna Selvaggi-Falcao (Jonathan) and Michael (Lauren). Caring Nonno to Ava, Simona, Summer and Landon. Cherished brother to Nazario (Shamira), Claudio (Mary), Anna (Robert). Nick will also be sadly missed and fondly rememebered by his many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.

The entire Pearl family is deeply saddened by Nick’s passing. We’ve been fortunate to have Nick in our lives for over 25 years and his humour and grace will be forever remembered. Julie, and family, may your cherished memories of him help sustain you all during this most difficult time
Nick you were a prince of a man. I looked forward to seeing you every Saturday when you were working at Hillcrest Hardware and later at ball hockey and all those great fun days we spent together at Holy Rosary and Hillcrest school yards. I loved having lunch with you afterwards at the Wychwood Pub when we would reminisce about all those great days we spent together on Hocken with our friends and families. We will miss your friendship and the many laughs you gave us over the years. You will be sorely missed my friend.

I loved his personality and his abliity to make us all laugh at his comical stories.
Nick had the greatest parents, whom we all loved dearly.

I met Nick in the 1960s when we all lived on Hocken Avenue. As kids we would all play together. Nick was a few years older and I was fortunate enough to to watch him mature into a young man who became a beacon for my path in life. I still remember walking by his house on a hot summer night. He would be sitting on the porch with his mother and his younger brothers Naz and Claudio. He would shout “Hey Lorenz come and join us” Then the jokes would begin. Nick was a master at telling jokes and funny stories. Later on in life Nick became an athlete and took up ball hockey. During those Saturday afternoons my family also got to know him as a gentleman and as goaltender.There are so many other fond memories. His friendship will be missed but never forgotten. Rest In Peace my friend.

We are still in shock over the quick passing of our beloved brother in law Nick. He loved his family very very much, both close family and extended family. On family get togethers we loved listening to his exchange of jokes with his brother in laws.
He would take the time to help others even letting them stay at his home for a few days.

Our sincere condolences to our cousins, the Selvaggi Family.
When I was six, and my sister four, we were in awe with the birth of our first baby cousin, 68 years ago. I remember when my Aunt Soccorsa and Uncle Alfredo brought little “Nicky” home, we could not take our eyes off him, we stared at him all day long in his little crib.
Through the years, we spent good times together: At family gatherings, playing ball hockey, and driving to Florida. Imagine, Nick, Sue, Tina, myself, and our two little boys, driving 4 days, to and from, in April, in a 1969 Pontiac.
When we got together, Nick made us laugh, by telling jokes, and impersonating someone talking in our Italian Hometown dialect.
We will miss Nick very much; he is at peace with our Heavenly Father.

Immediately memories came flooding. Nick,Tony and John riffling off jokes. Nick calling our house and using accents, saying he was real estate agent!!! Seeing him at Concord looking for just the right ingredients for dinner.

I didn’t see Nick very often but always felt close with him when we were together. My “buddy” is gone, but the memories of Florida, ball hockey and having traditional baked goods by Zia in the living room of the old house will never be forgotten and always in my heart. It has been well over 35 years since I have seen you,however thinking back when I hung around with Your brother Naz, it was always fun.
Needless to say when I was looking for a number for Naz this Obituary popped up.

I am.just going through some old boxes of my late Mom and Dad’s and found Nick and Julie’s wedding pic and a note to my Mom and Dad. My Dad owned Cross Town Hdwe & Electic at St. Clair and Vaughan and when my Dad had a heart attack, My Mom and my Dad healing, relied on Nick to run the show and for being a wonderful empathic compassionate soul. I was 8 or 9 and my brother 12 or 13 when our Dad had his first heart attack and Nick was an incredible employee, mentor and friend of the family. Thank you Nick z”l Cheryl and Michael Zellitt my Father was Harry Zellitt z”l my Mom Rose z”l Zellitt. So sorry for your loss Julie and family. I remember him very well
My sweetie, missing you even more. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it, but I thank God for the love of our amazing kids and our wonderful grandkids who keep me going let me tell you. And so our family circle continues and full of life. We all miss you immensely, our Simona breaks down, your little buddy Landon walking by your pictures saying NONNO!!!!
