elevated RcJxB Nick passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on November 18, 2023. Cherished husband of Joanne for 57 years. Adored father of Steve (Linda) and Maureen (Mike). Beloved Nonno of Michaela (Gino), Nicolette, Andrew, Clare, and Luca. Loving great-grandfather of Siena. Dear brother to the late Tony, the late Caterina, and Rita.

elevated RcJxB Nick was born on June 14, 1939 in Gagliato, Catanzaro, Italy. Loving son of the late Salvatore Garito and Giovannina Vitale.

Being a kind and a real gentleman is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Nick. Always pleasant to be around, always with a genuine smile and always ready and eager to help a friend or a relative in need.

Our condolences. We are saddened by your loss, having only the fondest memories. Visits with our cumpa’ Nick were always an event. He and cumma’ Joanne were best man and maid of honor at our wedding, and remained close friend for all these years. There will never be another like him. We will remember you, and miss you.

My condolences to all of you, Joanne , Steve, Maureen and the entire family. The memories of all us up at the cottage brings such a smile to my face. Nick with his ongoing jokes and pranks brought us so much laughter . Nick will always hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you for opening your house to me. Thank you for being kind and accepting of me. Thank you for being a father figure for the brief time our lives crossed. I have always valued the advise you gave me. I always looked up to you and wanted you to be proud of me. I am sorry if I ever let you down. You lived your life with grace, humor, a pure and kind heart. I admired how much you loved your family and how much you were always there for them. The world was a better place with you in it.
