With profound sadness and deep love, the family of Nicola Di Paolo announces his peaceful passing on August 4, 2026 at the age of 92. Nicola left this world surrounded by the strength of the family he cherished, and he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Maria Assunta, with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and unwavering faith. Nicola was the loving father of Mario (Cathy), and Gabriella (Andrew). He was a loving and devoted Nonno to his grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable pride: Meghan, Nicholle, Joseph and Nicholas. His legacy lives on in their laughter, their accomplishments, and the values he instilled through example — kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. 

elevated 1TwbQ Born in Teramo, Abruzzo (Italy), Nicola carried with him the traditions, values, and spirit of his homeland throughout his life. His journey from Italy to Canada was marked by courage, determination, and a commitment to building a better future for his family. He created a home filled with warmth, generosity, and the unmistakable pride of his roots. 

elevated 1TwbQ His passing leaves behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his compassion, his unwavering loyalty, and the love he showed to his family and friends throughout his life. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured forever: stories shared around the table, moments of guidance offered with patience, and the comfort of knowing he was always there. 

elevated 1TwbQ Though he has departed this world, Nicola’s spirit remains woven into the hearts of those who loved him. His reunion with Maria Assunta brings solace, knowing they walk together once more.
