elevated XNZqU Obituary

elevated XNZqU It is with heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Nicola Fattore. Beloved husband of 63 years to Milena, loving father to Amedeo (Erminia) and Sonia (Alex) and an exceptional Nonno to his cherished grandchildren, Alessia, Nico, Elliot and Jackson. He is now reunited with his loving parents Amedeo and Annina.

elevated XNZqU Leaving the very small town of Villa Romagnoli, Italy in December 1958 to immigrate to Canada, in search of a better life and future for his family, Nicola, persevered through many hardships and challenges. He became a successful carpenter and upheld his reputation of being an honest and reliable hard worker.

elevated XNZqU His words of wisdom will always be, “Life is a Sacrifice”, which instilled in his grandchildren the importance of education and discipline. He always wanted for his children and grandchildren to be “Number One “ in anything and everything they did. Although he had a tough exterior, was extremely stubborn and always had to prove his point, Nick melted at the sight of his grandchildren. They were, and always will be his pride and joy.

elevated XNZqU Nicola was very confident in who he was, and no matter if he was wrong or right, he never backed down from his beliefs. Whether it was laughing at the table, or having a heated debate over an espresso, Nicola loved to be surrounded by his family and friends and recount, over and over, his life experiences. Nicola’s life was simple yet meaningful and truly blessed. He will be missed, deeply loved and cherished forever.

elevated XNZqU In memory of Nicola, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
