elevated UjUIh It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Nives Zuccon (nee Fabris) in her 95th year on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Predeceased by Giovanni Zuccon, her devoted husband, of 55 years. Lovingly remembered by her children, Ennio (Anna) Zuccon, Loretta Zuccon (Joe Vecchiola), grandchildren Michael (Jacqueline) Zuccon, Mark Zuccon (Jennifer Kent) and her three great grandchildren, Theodore, Hugo, and Adeline.
Nives was born in Azzano Decimo, Pordenone, Italy, and immigrated to Canada in 1954 as a young wife and mother. She began her new chapter in Toronto devoting her life to her family, her faith and she continued with the traditions of her roots. You could always find Nives in her backyard tending to her bountiful vegetable gardens or in her kitchen cooking her renowned pasta and many of her northern Italian comfort foods. No Christmas was complete without Nonna’s delicious pasticcio, her dad’s handed down secret turkey stuffing, a tree filled with vintage glimmering ornaments and her infectious laughter.
Nives leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew her and will be in our hearts and memories forever.
