elevated kK4Dd Obituary
elevated kK4Dd With his family by his side, Orazio Costa passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, at the age of 90.
Born in Pachino, Sicily, to Gaetano and Antonina Costa, Orazio’s life was shaped by the artistry and integrity he inherited from his family, his father an artisan shoemaker, his mother a woman of quiet strength. Those roots in craft and care carried him across an ocean to Canada, where he built a life defined by creativity, humility and generosity of spirit.
An award-winning hair stylist and a relief art instructor at the Ontario College of Art, Orazio saw beauty everywhere and shared it with the world, whether through a brushstroke, a perfect wave of hair, a camera lens or the gentle way he encouraged others to see their own potential.
Orazio was honourable, honest, humble and kind, with a deep artistic soul. He was a devoted father to Sandro and Steven, and a caring father-in-law to Mary and Sandra. He was a beloved brother to Michele and Maria. He took immense joy in his role as Nonno to Justin, Jacqueline, Ava and Elisa, delighting in their milestones and encouraging their dreams. He shared many years of companionship and friendship with Elaine, whose presence remained a cherished part of his life until his final moments.
Those who knew Orazio will remember his quiet humour, his patient wisdom and his ability to create beauty not just in art, but in the way he treated people. His legacy lives on in the kindness he showed, the creativity he nurtured and the love he gave so freely.
We are so sorry for your loss. What a truly extraordinary human being who enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. The good news after such a profound loss is that he will live on in your hearts.
My sincere condolences to Elaine and to Leo’s family and friends. May the many cherished memories you hold of this very special gentleman
be with you always keeping him close to lighten your sorrow. May Our Lord God bless Orazio and grant him peaceful repose and Life Eternal.
We are very sorry to hear about Orazio’s passing. Our deepest condolences. He was a wonderful man and he will be truly missed.
It was sad to hear of Leo’s passing. He was a good and kind man. Our caring condolences to Elaine and Leo’s family and friends. May the wonderful memories you have help you through your sorrow. Caring thoughts are with all of you.
