elevated KCFVs Na noite de quarta-feira, 15 de setembro de 2021, Orlando de Almeida Marcelino faleceu em Richmond Hill no Hospital de Mackenzie Health devido a complicações de câncer. Nascido na pequena aldeia de Ribolhos, Castro Daire, Portugal, no 3 de outubro de 1959, Orlando faltou apenas algumas semanas para completar os 62 anos.

elevated KCFVs Ele fará falta para sempre por sua esposa Maria Augusta Ferreira Marcelino, filhos Michael Ferreira Marcelino, e Carolyn Ferreira Connors (nee Marcelino), genros Yue Yang, e Bradley Wayne Connors, neta Emilia Yang Marcelino, mãe Maria da Conceição de Almeida, irmã Gorete de Almeida Duarte, irmãos Amândio de Almeida Marcelino e Adérito de Almeida Marcelino, junto com muitos cunhados, tios, sobrinhos, primos e amigos.

elevated KCFVs Após dois anos de serviço na Marinha Portuguesa, Orlando mudou-se com a esposa para Toronto, Ontário, Canadá, onde obteve a dupla cidadania e manteve uma carreira de aproximadamente 19 anos como jardineiro no Metro Toronto Convention Centre, e anteriormente na CN Tower. Orlando será lembrado por sua paixão vibrante pela natureza e talento para a jardinagem, sua admiração pelo futebol e seu apoio leal a equipa S.L. Benfica.  O legado de Orlando de Almeida Marcelino continuará presente no amor à sua aldeia natal, Ribolhos, e na fidelidade à família e aos amigos.

elevated KCFVs Uma visita em homenagem a Orlando será realizada na sexta-feira, 24 de setembro de 2021, das 11h30 às 13h30, na casa funerária Holy Cross localizada na 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, ON, L3T 3Z6.  A visitação será limitada a 50 pessoas por vez.

elevated KCFVs In the evening of Wednesday, September 15, 2021, Orlando de Almeida Marcelino passed away in Richmond Hill at a Mackenzie Health Hospital due to complications from cancer. Born in a small town of Ribolhos, Castro Daire, Portugal on October 3,1959, Orlando was just a few weeks short of his 62nd birthday.

elevated KCFVs He will forever be missed by his wife Maria Augusta Ferreira Marcelino, children Michael Ferreira Marcelino, and Carolyn Ferreira Connors (nee Marcelino), children-in-law Yue Yang, and Bradley Wayne Connors, granddaughter Emilia Yang Marcelino, mother Maria da Conceição de Almeida, sister Gorete de Almeida Duarte, brothers Amândio de Almeida Marcelino and Adérito de Almeida Marcelino, along with many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

elevated KCFVs After a two year service to the Portuguese Navy, Orlando moved with his wife to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he obtained his dual citizenship and held an approximatly 19 year long career as a Groundskeeper at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and previously the CN Tower. Orlando will be remembered for his vibrant passion for nature, and talent for gardening, his admiration of soccer, and his loyal support of the team S.L. Benfica. The legacy of Orlando de Almeida Marcelino will continue to be present in his love of his hometown Ribolhos, and fidelity to his family and friends.

elevated KCFVs A visitation in Orlando’s honour will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Holy Cross Funeral Home located at 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, ON, L3T 3Z6. Visitation will be limited to 50 people at a time.
