elevated zsFrs It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Patricia at Toronto Western Hospital on July 1st 2020. She will be greatly missed by her son, Darryl Salmon (Maritza), her daughter Christine Salmon, her grandchildren Ryan and Sara and her adored pets Maggie and Missy.
elevated zsFrs Patricia was born on January 14, 1939 in Brockville, Ontario to the late John Douglas Hogan and Isabelle Eleanor Hogan (nee Timpson). She attended Loretto Abbey and the University of Toronto where she earned her Nursing Degree. She worked for VON (Victorian Order of Nurses) for many years before she was fortunate enough to be able to stay home and take care of her children in their younger years. She was fondly called Aunty Pat by all the kids on Hollyberry Trail. When she returned to work she was employed by the Toronto Public Health Department until she retired.
elevated zsFrs Patricia spent many years as a Nurse caring for others and advocating for Seniors. She kept up this passion when she became a senior herself. She was involved with initiating many services and opportunities for all of her beloved neighbours at Tichester.
elevated zsFrs Patricia was known for her quick wit and strong opinions. She was always ready to go to battle for what she believed in. She was a devoted Mother who provided her children with unconditional love. She will be dearly missed by all her friends and family.

elevated zsFrs Due to Covid-19 a private service and interment will be held for the family and close friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Pat and I became friends when our kids were babies.our lunches always went on for hours if laughter.she lived her furry family as well.may God bless her.

Hi, my name is jean quill cook. Patrica was my aunt Dot Hogan’s niece and God daughter. For many years I wrote to Patrica when I was younger, I always enjoyed our letters.
I am so sorry for your loss. Please except my condolences from the entire Quill Family.
We were neighbours and her son Daryl was often in our home. Your mom was a lady and very nice to us.
We are privileged to have known her.

Pat was our next door neighbour and the very first person to welcome us when we moved in. We enjoyed many great times together whether it was coffee/tea with the Hollyberry moms, celebrating children’s birthdays and holidays or monthly card games.
Pat’s nursing career was her passion but being a mother to Christine and Darryl was her ultimate joy and fulfillment.

Pat was a classmate of mine at the University of Toronto School of Nursing. I am saddened to learn of her death. She was a dear friend, always ready for a good story, and she had a wonderful infectious laugh. She was a dedicated nurse and set a fine example for all of us
Pat was a well loved neighbour of ours on Hollyberry Trail. Many fun times at our monthly rotating card games. Darryl was friends with our son Kevin.

Pat and I were friends and co-workers at the Catholic Information Center in the late fifties and early sixties. She was a bridesmaid at my wedding in 1966. She was always funny, sympathetic, smart and well liked by everyone. We lost touch after I moved out of town in the late sixties but reconnected for lunch about 10 years ago and easily picked up where we left off. We talked about her nursing career and her amazing kids and old friends and where they were now and laughed and laughed. She was a good person and a good friend and I regret not seeing her more through the years. I will miss her and remember her in my prayers.

Pat and I lived in the same apartment building on Tichester. Pat was a faithful member of the church and gained strength from the daily t.v.
mass. For me she exemplified the spirit of the gospel through her service to others as nurse and resident.
May she rest in peace.
