elevated vglcT Obituary
Surrounded by family at home, Jim peacefully answered the call from God to join Him in heaven.  Upon arrival, Jim sent a loving ray of sunshine to the love of his life, and wife of nearly 50 years, Maureen (nee Kindlellan), children Tim (Shari), Shannon (Maurizio) and Ryan (Natalie) to signal his safe passage.  Cherished son of Gilberte (Jill) and Pat (deceased) Levins and exceedingly proud Poppa to Luke, Matthew, James, Ashley, Andrew and Michael, Jim was the patriarch of our family and a beautiful example for all of us to follow.  Kind, caring and the gentleman of all gentlemen Jim lived a life to please and support others.  Through generous donations of his time to charities and organizations such as Kinark Child and Family Services, The Conference Board of Canada, The Catholic Times and the Corbett Cove Owners Association, he always sought ways to make life more enjoyable to those he knew and the community at large.  By ascending the corporate ladder to the executive ranks at Imperial Oil over a 38 year career, Jim provided for his family and gave them beautiful experiences while living in Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.  Upon retirement in 2005, Jim and Maureen continued their worldwide travels to all corners of the globe and made memories over which they fondly reminisced to his very last day.  Jim leaves behind a legacy of a life well lived, well-loved and one that will never be forgotten by those who were fortunate enough to know him.  His family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who assisted him during his challenged last few years.  The care and compassion that you exhibited was always appreciated and rewarded with Jim’s most beautiful smile that emanated through his sparkling blue eyes.  Most of all, we thank Adele who was sent to us by God to love and support us all until his very last moment with us.  From now until we meet again, Jim will care for us and guide us from above as he did for more than 72 wonderful years.
