elevated qxGuh Beloved Husband of Rossana (pre deceased 2019), Loving Father to Paul Jr. (Sharan) and Loving Grandfather to Luca, Marco and Matteo. Missed by his extended Family in Rome, Italy.
elevated qxGuh Paul was born in Rome to Alfonso and Anita. He was the eldest of 5 children and the only son. Paul lived a Big, Beautiful Life. He was the heart and soul of every party. He was the definition of generosity.
elevated qxGuh After graduating from the University of Rome with a degree in Civil Engineering, in 1953, he went to East Africa to help design and construct roads and services for British Petroleum. He came to Canada in 1956 and made Toronto his home with his wife, Rossana. In 1956 he joined Swansea Construction and helped design and build the Gardiner Expressway and the roads to Pearson International Airport. His involvement in road, sewer and water main design and construction continued to 1993.
elevated qxGuh In 1993 he co-founded Empire Communities, now, one of the premier homebuilding companies in the country. He took his role as company Elder statesman seriously, mentoring many young people along the way. He stressed the dignity of honest work to all of his employees. And took great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of every Empire home and condominium. He was never afraid of a challenge in life and reinvented himself numerous times. All with great success.
elevated qxGuh His well earned retirement was spent in the company of his Family and friends in Toronto, Acapulco and his beloved Rome. Unfortunately, his last years were hampered by Alzheimer’s Disease. We are grateful for the care he received at home from Dr. Fabio Varlese, and his caregivers, Ofelia, Rowena and Giorgio. He will be missed by so many people, but we take comfort that he is reunited with Rossana and Lorenzo, playing cards and laughing his big, beautiful laugh.
elevated qxGuh In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society https://alzheimer.ca/en , in honour of Paul.
elevated qxGuh Unfortunately due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private family service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12:00 pm. To view the service, please click on the link below.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Paul, Rosanna and Lorenzo for the many years they lived beside us. When we first moved in he asked us to consider a specific Empire condo! We did indeed look, but stayed where we are.
Paul enjoyed life, and we were privileged to enjoy his company. Until the final couple of years he always asked after our health. our families and our work.
We hope that everyone is doing as well as can be expected.
Paul and Sharan, we are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. We want to extend our condolences and our thoughts are with you.

I send you my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your father/grandfather.
Unfortunately I did not have many occasions to spend time with your father/grandfather but I do recall an industry trip to NYC that he attended with your mother/grandmother. He was charming, vivacious, generous and quite funny.
Continue to vivaciously spread the charm, generosity and humour that he shared while he was with you and he will never leave you.
RIP Paul Sr

Our deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of Paul Golini Sr. He was a Prince of Man. We had the great good fortune to live next door to Paul and Rossana in the Annex. Friends and neighbours, you couldn’t ask for better and we celebrated our move-in 20 years ago, at Rossana’s Barolo Restaurant. In our hearts, they remain always.
