elevated YZ1ru Obituary
It is with tremendous sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Juruc.  He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 31, 2021 at the early age of 63.

He was a loving and devoted father to Samantha (Marek) and his grandchildren Lucas and Maya.  The joy he got from his grandchildren was matched only by the adoration that he received from them in return. He was a loyal brother to Irene (Frank) and loved his nieces and their children dearly.  Paul was predeceased by his son, Michal (2007), who he thought of each and every day.  He follows his mother, Anna (2020) and father, Michal (1979) who also predeceased him.

Paul will be missed dearly by family and friends who will remember him for touching their lives with his humour and generosity.  From his youth, through his more than thirty years of service in Mary Kay Cosmetics Distribution Centre and into his retirement, Paul’s life had ups and downs that were always decorated with his strength and resilience, as well as the personal connections he made with those around him.  He never gave himself nearly enough credit for his accomplishments, including his progress from his early start in Mary Kay’s warehouse to managing the Distribution Centre, as well as building the foundation for his family, both immediate and extended.

Tim Hortons, lottery scratch tickets, and Mamma Martino’s may have been amongst his trademarks, but his generosity is what he will be most remembered for.  He was a gift giver.  His larger than life gifts at birthday and holiday celebrations lit up the eyes of children and adults alike, with many accompanying laughs. However, it is the more personal gifts of love, friendship, and support that have touched the lives of so many who were lucky enough to be part of Paul’s journey in life.  He is remembered now with thoughts of love and gratitude as we reflect on the marks he left in our lives.

As a Polish-Italian, Paul grew up with a love of both perogies and homemade Italian pasta.  Of course, he also found his own individual passions in life as well.  Paul’s love of 80’s rock bands and Woodbine horse racing is surmounted only by the love that he showered upon his family.  Reluctant to accept gifts and praise himself, Paul stopped at nothing to give his all to those he loved.  We can only hope he knows how dearly he was loved in return and the immense void that his departure leaves in our lives.  His humour and generosity will live on in the hearts of many.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private visitation and funeral service will take place Friday, April 9th.  Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd., Mississauga, ON, L5T 1N4.  The family asks that friends and family watch the service from the comfort of their homes on Friday at 11:00am through livestream.  To view the service, please click on the link below.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in honour of Paul and the generosity he showed others during his own lifetime.
