Obituary
Paul Salvatore passed away at the young age of 53 after a short, but hard fought, battle with Covid at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on May 9, 2021. Paul sadly leaves behind his loving wife Toni of 15 years, and their son Julian. Paul will be sadly missed by his brothers Joe (Domenica) and Gabe (Teresa) and his sister Mary (Frank). Beloved son in law to Alessandro Bruscino (the late Lina), and his in law siblings, Teresa (Ned), Vince (Fabiana), and Carmen. Paul adored and treasured all of his nieces and nephews who will sadly miss his fun and loving nature: Mia, Dante, Victoria B., Alex, Tanya, Jessica, Casey, Alexandra, Crystal, Adam, Eric and Victoria F. Paul was predeceased by his loving mother and father Vittorio and Filomena. Paul was born in Lanciano, Abbruzzo, Italy and moved to Canada with his family at a very young age. Paul will be missed by his family and friends who will fondly remember him for his passion that he gave to everything and everyone in his life, for having such a huge heart and letting everyone feel special and appreciated, for having such a great sense of humour and making people laugh. Above and beyond, Paul will be remembered for the love that he had for his wife Toni and his son Julian, his best friend. Their relationship was truly special. The Family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre for all of their care and support. You will forever be missed Paul, Rest in Peace.

Our deepest Condolences to Pauls family and friends I have great memories of Paul from going to school together to being neighbors playing sports together when we were kids and when my cousin Domenica married his brother Joe it all continued to family gatherings at Christmas and New Years some of the best memories of my life .He always knew how to make us laugh .He will be missed by everyone.

Please accept my thoughts and condolences at this time. I had the good fortune to teach Paul when we were at Philip Pocock Secondary School. I remember him to be a kind, honest, and light-hearted man. When we reconnected, he told me that he wanted to thank me for something-for letting him sneak in his breakfast, to our first period English class. It seems like something so small, doesn’t it? But it clearly wasn’t to him, and tell me this “years” later speaks to the kind of man he was. He never took anyone for granted. Paul was an all-around good person who will be missed by all. Rest in Peace, “Lionel” -a nickname we had for him in the ’80s.
Words fail to express our deep sorrow for your entire family’s loss. Paul will forever be remembered as the wonderful guy that won my dear friend Toni’s heart, becoming her husband and later the amazing father to their son Julian. He will forever be missed by everyone who knew him. Rest in Peace Paul.

I was so shocked to hear of Paul’s passing. Although our last names are slightly similar, we are not related, but quickly became good friends because in our 12th year in high school, we shared lockers along with another dear friend, Joe.
Paul always had a laugh and a smile that lit up a room, and it didn’t hurt that he resembled Lionel Richie back then – thanks Mary Ross for reminding me of that.
Paul and I recently got reconnected as we discovered we ran in the same work circle – promotional products – and figured it’s been almost 25 years since we last saw each other…..
Toni, Julian, I don’t know of the right words to say….but treasure every memory of Paul and know that he lives on, in spirit, in your son and in your heart. You are in my thoughts and prayers….
When I heard on Sunday might heart hurt. Me and Paul go back to our high school days. I was a shy and not so popular kid, but Paul always brought me into the group. Teaching me how to play Italian cards and sticking up for me when someone was picking on me , he was there for me. We reconnected on FB and sent some messages back and forth even not so long ago. Like many of us we all say we going to get together and we just never did. To the family as you know Paul is such an exceptional person and Heaven must of needed him. I can remember him bringing me half of an Italian sandwich for lunch, man was it good and that was half I was full for a week. God bless thinking of you.
