Obituary
VIEIRA, Paulo Adelino. With sad hearts, we mourn the passing of our beloved brother Paul. Born in Ribeira Quente, Azores on October 8, 1965 and immigrated to Canada in 1968. Paul is survived by his four siblings, Ligia Medeiros (Frank Medeiros), Joe Vieira (Ruthie Vieira), Eduarda Vieira Calado (Jorge Calado), Anna Vieira Hayes (Mark Hayes) and his eight nieces and nephews; Cindy Medeiros, Christine Tawadros, David Medeiros, Melissa Vieira, Adam Vieira (Paul’s Godson), Daniel Calado, Marc Calado, Rylie Hayes and his three great nephews Vincent Tawadros, Matthew Tawadros, and Alessandro Joseph Vieira . He is predeceased by his loving parents Manuel Vieira Jr. and Gilda Vieira.
elevated QXA6o Paul grew up in Parkdale and well known in the neighborhood. Many people would say Paul had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off his back if you needed it. He had many friends who knew him by Pauly or “Paul the P”. As a young man, he had it all, the cars, bikes, travel and money. He was on top of the world.
elevated QXA6o Unfortunately, Paul had been living with addiction, depression, and struggled with inner demons. He tried rehab, counselling; he just could not overcome it. When COVID hit he went into a deeper depression and often asked why it did not reach him, he really did struggle with the pain of addiction and depression. He helped many people get through some tough times but sadly he could not help himself. Paul is now at peace and reunited with his favourite person, his mom.
elevated QXA6o If you wish, in memory of Paul, in lieu of flowers, donations to an addiction centre or mental health centre of your choice is welcome. Viewing and burial to be held with family and close friends.

My sincerest condolences go to the family of Paul. I’m so deeply heartbroken to hear this. I haven’t seen you in a long time but you’ve always been in my heart often thought of you and also worried. I’m so sorry my friend you’ve always had such a soft spot in my heart. I love you. May you rest in peace and no longer have to face suffering here. You will be missed my friend. i’m sure my brother is there to greet you with open arms as he loved you deeply like his own little brother. I know how close you were with him now you boys are together.

Dear Paul,
Life is not always fair, the way we lived was ever so daring where at times we could find ourselves in dark corners but for the most we shone like diamonds, living larger than life itself. I’ll always remember our bike trips together, as at any time i would have loved to relive a moment as that.
It seems your sacrifice is ultimate, im so sorry to see you go.
Please say hello to our friends up above for me. But we will meet to duel again, wether its on a bike or on a cloud, a d until then may you share my heart and my eyes on this earth to not be distant, in site nor in mind.

The Paul i remember had a good disposition and was always sincere and glad to see his friends. I have fond memories of the ” good old days” when we were young and bullet proof lol . Glad i was a part of them.
Paul P was a stand up guy , if he said ” he had your back” you had no worries from behind . He seemed to put his friends in front of himself . The kind of guy who would do more for you than you would do for him : leaving you silently feeling guilty to have such a good friend . Glad to have been part of the crew . RIP my friend .

I have nothing but good things to say about Pauly he was as solid as they come always there when needed he was a sweet soul and always tried his best at this thing called life we had the 50 year plan live hard party hard and leave a good looking corpse he checked all those boxes I’m blessed to have had him in my life Parkdale took to many souls before their time. I’ll see you in the afterlife. My condolences to his family and friends.

Paul was very much loved a a beautiful soul.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all, at this difficult time.
I am so sad to hear of Paul’s death. I knew him for over 10 years and he was such a sweet kind man despite his struggles with depression and substances. I remember him bringing friends to the community health centre in Parkdale so we could support them and get them connected with care – he always looked out for other people. He had the most beautiful big smile which I can see in the photograph. I will miss him very much.
My condolences to the family. I just found out about Paul’s passing yesterday. I knew Paul since we were kids going to ST Helen’s school. He hung out with my late brother Nelson a lot. I know he had his problems but he was a good hearted person. He will be missed.
