elevated 4ujIH With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paula Collins (nee Moncada), cherished Daughter, Wife, Mother, Nonna, Sister, Zia and friend on November 4, 2024. She passed away surrounded by her greatest loves, her loving husband Dave, and daughters Ashley and Jessica.
elevated 4ujIH Paula was a devoted partner to her soulmate, and love of her life, David, for over 50 years. She felt her greatest gift was her family. She deeply loved her daughters, Sarah, Ashley (Goncalo), and Jessica (Cristian). She was a doting Nonna to Lily and David. A cherished sister to Mary and Nancy (Jeff) and a much loved “Zia Mia,” and great Zia. She was a true friend to many. Paula’s love for animals and her pets were a great joy in her life. She shared great love with Disco, her rescue dog, who never left her side.
elevated 4ujIH Her devotion and skill as a teacher was extraordinary. She loved her students, and they loved her back. We will miss her adventure, humour, feisty nature, smile, warmth, compassion and so much more. She taught all of us resilience and the truest meaning of love. We hope she will find joy in whatever is next and remains surrounded by her daughter Sarah, and parents Josephine and Salvatore Moncada, Wallace and Florence Collins, loving grandparents, Antonio and Paola Cultrera and Sebastiano and Giovanna Moncada.

elevated 4ujIH Friends will be received at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Rd. E. Thornhill, ON L3T 3Z2) on Friday, November 8 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 9:00 AM. Entombment to follow at the Blessed Virgin Mausoleum- Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario, L3T 2C7)

Dearest Family,
I am beyond devastated at the passing of one of the most beautiful souls to grace this Earth. Paula was a loyal and loving friend, and her heart was pure gold. I know she is with God now, but I will miss her tremendously. My sincerest condolences to all of you.
