elevated xxxrL It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of our dearest Paulo Duarte Marques at the age of 55. On Friday January 13, 2023 surrounded by family at his side, Paul returned home to be with God and his loved puppies (Maxx, Coby, Charlie). Beloved son of Armanda and the late Duarte Marques. Cherished brother of Patricia and her husband Todd London, Pedro and his wife Sandy, and Ricardo. Devoted and proudest uncle to Kayla, Kevin, Kenneth, Devin, Liam, Emily and Amanda. Paul will forever be loved and remembered by many relatives and friends.

I am so sad to learn of Paul’s passing. He was truly one of a kind– kind, generous, a great sense of humour, and a lover of animals. While we had lost touch in recent years because of distance and the busyness of life, I adored him and I have wonderful memories of time we spent together. Rest in peace, Papa.

Yes, the world seems sadder now that you are not in it, it’s missing your kind eyes, your infectious smile, your hilarious jokes, and your enormous kind heart…but cousin, your bright light remains! Thank you for the unforgettable memories you gave us as kids when we moved here; you taking us trick-or-treating, convincing us to go on every ride at Wonderland, and my favourite, tobogganing at Sir Winston Churchill Park. I’ll look for you amongst the stars, until one day, in the clouds, we will meet again.
My sympathies to everyone who was lucky enough to have you in their lives. Wishing us all comfort, peace, courage and love.

You seen the beauty in the world. You could see and feel things many could not. Your Love for Animals, Lust for Adventure, Your gratitude and love of Mother Nature. Your desires for Photography, Music, Dance. You helped the helpless and defended the weak. Most of all your love for Children and Family and Faith.
Mamma, Armanda Marques being your rock was your world.
You brought a love too so many. Always making them feel welcome and on a pedestal. Your smile, your teddy bear hugs with the warmth you repelled. You were a natural healer. You fuelled and injected an energy and love to everyone you encountered.
You would light up a room as you entered. Your smile radiant and laughter contagious.
The word dull was not in his vocabulary.
He made everything fun. Even work.
People who got the privilege to have him in their life know what love is and feels like.
You always took care of others and made them feel safe.
You made people happy, your space was their safe place.
