elevated qMNng It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Perno Silla on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of almost 63 years to Fernanda. Loving father of Doris (Nicola) and Frank (Henni). Cherished nonno of Nicole, Daniel (Monique), Marie and Domenic. Bisnonno of Luca. He has been reunited with his sisters Rosa D’Ascanio (Pasquale) and Elvira Consiglio. Dear brother-in-law of Joseph Consiglio, Gino D’Ascanio (Paola), Margherita D’Ascanio (the late Palmerino), Flavia De Santis (the late Achille), the late Irma De Sanctis, Ottavio D’Ascanio (Anna) and Amedea Piron (Renzo). Perno will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.) on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. The final rite of committal and entombment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
