I shared so many wonderful memories with Petrisa — she cared for me like a big sister. I will forever cherish those moments. I’ll miss her dearly, but I know we’ve all gained a beautiful angel. My heartfelt condolences to Petrisa’s entire family and friends.
My deepest condolence to your entire family for the loss of Petrisa aka Pat. She was an incredible person.
Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to your entire family.
Condolences to the family. I worked with Petrisa for a number of years, reporting directly to her for much of the time. She believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself, and inspired me to greater things.
She was remarkable and will be missed terribly.
It’s hard to put into words the impact Petrisa had on me in such a short time. She hired me just a few months ago to be her assistant, a role I took on with excitement and a bit of nervousness, knowing her reputation as a strong, determined leader. But very quickly, I realized that behind that tough exterior was someone with an incredible heart.♥️
Earning Petrisa’s trust was no small thing, and when she did open up, she did so with warmth and authenticity. In those few months, she became not just my boss, but my mentor and my friend. She took the time to teach me things no other executive ever has, lessons about leadership, resilience, and compassion and drive.
Petrisa often said that her team was her family. she called each of us “her children,” and she meant it. She made me feel like I belonged like I was part of something bigger.
I also had the privilege of spending this past week with her a week full of laughter and wonderful memories. I remember at one point she reminded me to do something, and I thanked her for always having my back. Without hesitation, she looked at me and said, “Always.” That’s just who she was loyal, protective, and endlessly supportive. I will forever cherish those last moments, those dinners, those laughs, and our walks through Old Town Alexandria.
I was also fortunate meet her Serbian family and colleagues. Seeing the admiration and love they had for her reminded me of how deeply she touched lives everywhere she went. Her drive was unmatched, her compassion boundless, and her heart enormous.
Petrisa, thank you for believing in me, for challenging me, and for showing me what true leadership looks like. Thank you for the opportunities, the learning experiences, and the memories I will hold close forever.
You will always have a place in my heart and in the hearts of everyone whose lives you touched.
Rest in peace, my mentor and friend 🤍🕊️
We were devastated to hear of Petrisa’s sudden passing. She was more than a remarkable leader—she was a trusted colleague, a generous mentor, and a cherished friend. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering integrity left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working alongside her. Petrisa led with grace and listened with compassion, lifting others up even in the most challenging moments.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but her legacy of kindness, courage, and excellence will continue to inspire us. We are holding her loved ones in our hearts and sending strength to all who mourn her.
She will be profoundly missed.
Petrisa was a strong leader whose lasting contributions will be felt for many years to come. She will be remembered fondly by everyone who worked beside her.
On behalf of the Embassy of Canada in Belgrade, our sincerest and most heartfelt condolences. We will remember Petrisa for her unwavering dedication to promoting the Serbian-Canadian connection. Her professionalism, compassion, dedication, and smile will not forgotten.
I had the pleasure of working with Petrisa professionally, and she was always such an amazing leader and dynamic thinker. I am so sorry she left us way too soon.
