With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Piedade (Pied) Coutinho on June 23, 2025 in Canada, and just one month shy of her 90th birthday.

elevated Zknre Pied was the wife of (Late) Gregory Coutinho, Mother of (Late) Johnny (Belinda), Stanley (Debbie), Ashley (Crystal), Grandma to Shane (Rachelle), Dwayne, Chantelle, Jeremiah, Jayden and Tyler and also Great Grandma to Cameron, Camilla & Carter. Sister to Pauline (Joe), Alban (Dorothy), (Late) Anthony and Francis.

elevated Zknre Born and raised in Karachi, Piedade, devoted much of her life to nurturing others–first as a dedicated teacher at St. Xavier’s School, and was a loving mother. She immigrated to Canada in 1998, beginning a new chapter where she once again found joy caring for children through babysitting, forming deep bonds with the little ones she looked after. Piedade had a quiet strength and a heart full of generosity. She loved cooking, being with the family and watching her favorite Pakistani and Indian TV dramas. She was a devoted wife to her beloved late husband, Gregory.

elevated Zknre Even as her health declined in recent years, her spirit remained strong. She continued to find joy in simple pleasures: arts & crafts, music, singalongs, and topping it all was her love for playing poker during our family gatherings.

elevated Zknre Pied, will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with warmth, patience, and grace.

elevated Zknre May her soul rest in eternal peace.
