To my Zia Pietrina: It is with profound sorrow that I received the news of your passing. I’m sure that God needed a new angel in his heavenly domain.
You have been in my life most of my years, and I can reflect that we shared many great times together. You were always available for any outings and road trips I dreamt up. Shopping on St. Clair,(in the old days) of the best Italian based shopping in Toronto), trips to Woodbridge to get the best, cheese, pastries, dry goods like your favourite (fallari) apron. Having a cappuccino and a cannoli. Our trip to the Niagara Falls casino, with Zia Antonietta and Zia Antonia for a look see. I even introduced you to The St Lawrence Market, in Toronto for a beautiful big peameal on a bun. Even a short stop to Dixie Mall made your day.
I know you loved your working life at Gabriel factory, and enjoyed a life with your work buddies, before the real work started at home.
Your dedication to your family goes without saying.
I’m especially grateful for the love and attention you gave my mom, Anna and my dad, Joseph Trapani, during their period of dealing with my mothers stroke. Always a welcoming smiling member of our family, and a most welcome guest at the Trapani dinner table.
For many years you were neighbours and always a sunny sight at Haig Blvd.
You loved your garden and numerous flowers planted around your place. I especially loved your roses and peonies.
When I eat a cuccidati at Christmas or a cassateddi I will remember you.
In closing Ti amo e mi mancherai tantissimo. Il dolore e grande, ma la gioia de avuto a nella mia vita e immensa.
Ciao bella Zia
Our sincere condolences Anthony your mom was a beautiful lady and will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Family !
Dearest Zia Pietrina, I will always have fond memories of you. Especially from my childhood. Every holiday that you would bring your special homemade Italian donut holes. I can’t remember what they are called, but I always looked forward to them. Your sweet smile. Your gentle and kind demeanour. Your genuine presence. Always telling me each and every year that I got older that I still look like a little girl. Not ageing a day. You were loving and generous to my children. You were a simple woman, delighting in the pleasures of being around our family. Cooking and cleaning to make sure the men in your family were taken care of. Doing your part during your working years to contribute to the community in the best way that you could. Long hours working small parts at Gabriele. You were a great friend to my momma. You were a confident to my mother. You were a loving and constant member of our family. And you will be missed. Now you’re with the angels. With your husband. Smiling down on us. I love you Zia. God bless you.
Dearest Pietra As the husband to Jackie your niece I had the blessing and honor to know you for many many wonderful years. We were together at so many functions of the family and other events that we attended together. I will miss your kind and generous personality that always came with a smile and a kiss on the cheek. You did little things that made me love you like, when you took time to remember to make sure no matter where we were that you got me my favorite cuccidati when it was that time of the year you made them for the festive season, even when I was down in Florida at that time.
I know and pray that you are with Frank in heaven and maybe in the future we will see each other again and we can share a hug, kiss and one of your great cuccidati together.
To our beloved Zia, your love and kindness touched all our lives in such a meaningful way. You had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. We will always treasure the many family gatherings we shared together. One of my most cherished memories is learning to make our traditional Sicilian cookies for the Christmas holidays. Those traditions will live on, and we will think of you ever time we bake them.
You will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love,
The Bellucci Family
Dearest Zia Pietrina
Over my lifetime we shared more our name, we shared wonderful memories as l grew up. I always looked forward to your fig cookies at Christmas and your bright smile when you walked into a room. You had a great sense for fashion and always looked amazing from head to toe. Your passing has left a hole on our hearts. May you rest in eternal peace.
Dearest Zia Pietrina, words cannot describe my broken heart. Growing up,you always had a smile and brought joy and laughter when you came to visit our family. You even honored me by being one of my first patients. You didn’t care how inexperienced I was at the time and that gave me immense confidence. You also raise a great son and the both of you made the world a little better!
