elevated 2ei6g Obituary
Words cannot express the sadness felt at the loss of Pina Sciannella on Tuesday February 22, 2022 due to pneumonia surrounded by her children and siblings at Humber River Hospital. Beloved daughter of predeceased parents Bruno and Viria Valentini, Pina was born on January 2, 1952 in Montorio, Abruzzo Italy. In 1954 the family relocated to Montreal, then 1972 to Toronto. She married Teodoro (deceased) in 1979.
Pina was a kind, caring, sympathetic, warm hearted and loving person. She was a skilled cook who loved to pass on family traditions and knowledge through it. She strongly believed that you had to know the tradition before trying to change it. She took great joy in spending time with family. Her love of children could be seen in how she befriended every child.
Pina will be dearly missed by all her family: Her children Lisa and Paolo, her siblings Berardo(Colette), Omero(Ruth), Marina(John), sisters-in-law Carmalina, Elia and Lynda, all her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Princess Margaret Hospital or the Sick Kids Foundation.
Paolo/Lisa Berardo and Family Omero and Family Marina and Family. There are no words for your pain. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. My sweet friend Pina… will miss our talks.. take care of your family. R.I.P Pina
