It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Pirkko (Penny) Liisa Matanovic on March 25, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 70. Beloved wife of David and loving mother of Andrew and Scot. Pirkko will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her extended family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

elevated 5HNh4 Pirkko (Penny) Liisa Lindholm was born in Helsinki, Finland in 1955. She came to Canada with her family in 1959 and settled in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. She later moved to Sudbury for a short period of time before relocating to Toronto in 1979. There she met and worked with her husband, David Matanovic. They married in 1986 and had two beautiful children, Andrew-1987 and Scot-1990.

elevated 5HNh4 She retired from working at the end of 2021. Pirkko was a loving, fun, warm and caring person who created endless memories that will keep her beautiful spirit alive through those who were blessed enough to have had her in their lives.
