It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ralph LaFace. He passed while doing the things he loved; drinking wine, eating a beautiful meal and was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.
Ralph was born in Fossato Italy November 15 1946. He came to Canada to start a new life in 1967. He met his beautiful wife Terri and they were married in August 1973. They had 3 sons Anthony, Frankie and Christopher. Ralph was a simple man who loved the outdoors. On Sundays you could find him up north with his friends and sons enjoying hunting, fishing or a great meal. He was a wonderful father in law to Angela, Daniela and Carolette and the absolute best Nonno to Alexander, Matthew, Liliana, Samantha, Gabriel and the new baby to be. His garden, lemon trees and backyard treehouse will never be the same.

Dear Uncle Ralph: We are devastated by your loss. I just spoke to you and we had such a nice talk. You are dear to us here. Your cousins Vincenzina and Luigi Paonessa are beyond consolation and will forever miss you. Our deepest condolences to the family, we are thinking of you all.
Such sad sad news to wake up to this morning. We haven’t spoken in a very long time but I remember growing up with the boys Ralf and Teri. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He really was such a family man. <3
Our hearts are broken and there are no words to express the sadness we feel at the sudden passing of our dear brother in law. Solace is found in our memories of many family gatherings, many shared glasses of good wine , bread, cheese and his prized soppressatas. We are sure he was greeted with open arms by all his loved ones that have gone before him. Rest in peace, dear brother and friend.
We will miss you Zio, we did not have a chance to say goodbye. Thank you for your love, sopressata and the best lemons in the world!

Zio Ralph, there are no words to describe how much we will miss you. Your smile, love for all of us was beautiful. You enjoyed life and loved your lemons, sopressata, wine, fishing, hunting and being with everyone, always willing to lend a hand. Our table will never be the same without you. We love you.

Ralph departs from this earth never truly leaves, for for he is still alive in our hearts and minds, through his Son’s and grand children they live on. He will not be forgotten. He is on Lake or in the Woods or in the Garden or Wine Cellar. Please accept my dearest condolences
What a horrible sad day
The memories of our youth in Fossato and the pictures of our fishing and hunting trips together will always be with me.Ralph was a true friend, he was the husband, father,father in law and grandfather everyone wishes and longs for.

Ralph was a very special soul, always so happy to see you and even happier if you would accept his offerings. He always had something to offer, be it Bay leaves, Lemons, Herbs or the BEST soppressatas in town!
You will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Julia and i are so saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Ralph. He had such a wonderful attitude toward life and he was so generous. I have such fond memories of our times at the farm or on the boat.

I was devastated to hear the news of Ralph’s death.
I have known Ralph for over 40 years. He was my wonderful hairdresser.
My deepest sympathies to Terri and the boys and all his family.
I will miss him.
My heart is broken. Ralph was like my second father. He taught me my trade and was after all these years always at the end of the phone to give me directions when I was in doubt. My tears can’t stop falling.
My prayers go out to Terri and the boys. Family was everything to Ralph.
My condolences to Terri, Ralph’s children, grandchildren, daughters-in-laws and friends. I too was a client of Ralph – he cut my hair for 20+ years and was the only person who I looked forward to see for a cut ever. Talk of hunting, fishing, Blue Jays, Leafs, politics, world events and always his family. I am so sad to think of this loss.

Thank you for all the good times ie making swords, waching the Popeyes show ( he was funny now that i think of it) the endless sleepovers, talk about ( and I qwote ) “Sleeping In the Treehouse”
and even tho this message may never go though the text lines ( of Heven or were ever else you are) just know that ALL every single grandchild misses you here on Earth, and that you came here for a very good reson, wich is to be the best sword making tree house talking Nonno I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE and I still miss you after 3 and a
half years!!
