elevated K3l9J It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ralph Nunno on April 16, 2022 at the age of 69, beloved husband of Fernanda for 44 years, devoted father to Michelle (Domenico), Daniela (Michael), and Marisa (Peter) and proud Nonno to Luca, Giuliana, Angelina, Matteo and Julian.
elevated K3l9J Ralph is loved and cherished not only by his family who will continue to honour his legacy by living their lives to the fullest, but also by friends, colleagues, and the many students whose lives he touched.

Dear Fernanda and Family.
When I heard of Ralph’s passing, I was shocked and sadden at the same time.
I have many fond memories of Ralph. He was such a gentle soul who made time to talk to everyone. He was a man of true compassion and he loved all of you so much that you could see it in his eyes. Michelle, Daniela, Marisa, spouses and kids, please stay strong for your mother. She will need all the strength to go forward. Ralph will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless all of you at this sad time.
May God bless Ralph’s family during this incredibly difficult time. The St. John XXIII school community would like to say thank you for his dedication, passion and commitment to our students over his amazing career.

We were so saddened to hear about Ralph’s passing. I was quite fortunate to have taught with Ralph at John XXIII and our 3 children were also very lucky to have him as their dedicated teacher in the junior grades. Ralph was always so interested in how you were doing and always there to offer comfort in times of sorrow. He was a gentle soul and I was privileged to know him. May his family hold on to the very special memories of Ralph as a husband, a father, a father in law and a loving Nonno. Our love and deepest sympathies to the Nunno family.❤️

Ralph was a wonderful person and an inspiration to those of us who worked alongside him. He was greatly respected by students, parents, and his colleagues. My condolences to the Nunno family during this difficult time.
Mr. Nunno was my Grade 5 teacher, and I remember him well, he would always call me by my last name. He was also a kind Father figure in my life. I can still remember his stern, yet caring voice. I also appreciated that we shared an Italian heritage!
I am too far to be present in person, but I will be praying for all of you. May God’s great love for you carry you through this time of sorrow. May God bring to light your beautiful memories with him and allow them to bring peace to your hearts.

Our deepest condolences to all of yous. I will never forget the best teacher at John 23d he was my grade 6 teacher and he was so kind and gentle hearted. Rip Mr nunno this is so shocking 😢.
My most deepest condolences to Fernanda and family. Ralph was an amazing, caring, compassion teacher to my childrens and a person of great respect to others.
Mr. Nunno was a giver.
As a teacher he not only teach theory and concepts, he had the ability to see the potential in each child encouraging them to believe in their self’s.
How lucky we were to cross roads with you.
He greet friends always with a big smile, and that’s the way he will live in our hearts.
I will always remember Ralph’s sense of humor and the jokes he would tell. I especially remember his “Italian” conversations with my parents when we would be together at a lunch or dinner.
I have many good memories of skiing at Dagmar with Ralph, his 3 daughters and my 3 kids. I will miss his company.

I was so fortunate to have worked with Ralph for so many years at Saint John XIII. Not only was he a wonderful teacher but an amazing colleague. I never heard him say a critical thing about anyone…he was a joy to work with. Soccer and hockey were a passion for so many students at our school and even after retiring…Ralph came back. A true teacher. He was taken too soon.

Our deepest condolences to the Nunno family. My family was blessed to have known him on so many levels. He taught my husband Italian during international language classes, he taught my niece, and my nephew went to school with Marisa. I was a student at John XX111 but never had the pleasure to have him as a teacher, years later, I became a teacher and had the pleasure to supply at John XX111 and work with Ralph. Then, years later, my children had the pleasure to have him as a supply teacher at St.Patrick’s School. He filled in quite frequently. They always came home with a beautiful story that Mr.Nunno told them, a story that made them understand the true meaning of life. His family meant the world to him, and he always cared about the students he taught…treating them like his own. We are deeply sadden to hear of his passing, a beautiful soul, an educator who truly had a passion for his work….a beautiful life that has been taken to soon.

Our hearts were broken with the sad passing of our dear friend Ralph. He was such a beautiful soul and had a great sense of humour. It seems like only yesterday we were all dating , socializing after soccer games and then entering the next phase of our lives as we raised our families. We were surprised to learn of his passing. He will be missed. May you find comfort in the many years of memories you both made as you learn to live with out him. He leaves his love of family and life with you all.

I was fortunate to have Mr. Nunno as my Grade 6 teacher and to this day I always look back and remember those educators that had a profound impact on my life and taught me some of the important lessons that I teach my own children. Mr. Nunno is one of those educators who I have the utmost respect for.
I hope the entire family finds comfort in celebrating his life and knowing that he had such a positive impact on so many students.

He challenged them, he deeply respected them, and he fed their love of sport. He taught them true sportsmanship! He taught them resilience and the power of kindness and empathy. Our three children were blessed to have Mr. Nunno as their teacher in Grade 4.
Mr Nunno taught them to write in cursive, to play hockey, ski and most importantly to always be ‘good citizens”.
Our children are grown now and Mr. Nunno is that teacher that they always talk about with fondness. He has etched their minds and souls forever and they continue to strive to be that “good citizen” .

I spent 20+ years teaching with Ralph at JohnXX111.He was an exceptional teacher.Kind, calm, patient he established a perfect learning environment for every student.He was a friend.
My deepest condolences to the Nunno family. I was fortunate to have Mr. Nunno as a teacher 10 years ago for grades 4 & 5. He is to this day, one of the most caring and dedicated educators I’ve ever encountered. He made sure we were academically challenged while still having fun – laughing Fridays with Mr. Nunno is a memory I still cherish 10 years later. His kindness and passion for teaching made the entire St. John XXIII community a brighter place. Mr. Nunno’s impact on the lives of his students will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed.
One of my all time favorite teachers, we lived on the same street for a while, and I was lucky enough to have him twice! Still quote him to this day. “If you don’t do it right the first time, I’m gonna make you do it again!” “Hey Michael, What a guy!” and the way “Corner!” would roll off his tongue when he was calling a soccer game.

The first time I met Ralph was at Pat and Bruno Bucci’s Christmas party approx 24 years ago. He and I hit it off right away (it was like we had known each other for years). Ralph always had a fantastic smile and had a great sense of humour. He would always tell his jokes “barzellette” in Italian and I enjoyed that very much. He was a warm, compassionate, fun loving man.
We did a couple of bike tours just recently, one in Quebec and the other in Simcoe County with 2 Buccis and we have fond memories of our time together.
Ralph, you will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace, my friend.

My deepest condolences to the Nunno family. As a young boy in Italy I got to know Ralph. We were neighbours in Monteleone and got into some adventures together. One time I recall Ralph making arrows for his home made bow out of the metal ribs of an old umbrella. We shot them into a wooden barn door for hours.
I regret not maintaining our friendship in Canada.

I am very sad to read about Ralph’s passing. I had the pleasure to get to know Ralph while I taught French at Saint John 23rd. He was a class act and always calm, cool and collected. I will remember him as a good guy who I was lucky to have crossed paths with even if it was briefly. R.I.P Ralph.
We are heart broken….. our hearts have sunk. Mr. Nunno was a “CLASS ACT”, an HONOUR to have known. He taught both my kids Daniela and Joseph and was one of the most influential individual for both. We enjoyed running into him during our walks many years later always enjoying wonderful stories. A GREAT GIVER and HUMAN being. . I’m so sorry to have found out months later. To this day I use his famous words “Keep doing what your doing and you’ll keep getting what your getting” ….. GOD BLESS … RIP..Our sincerest condolences to the entire Nunno Family.

We are deeply sorry for your loss of a great man who we had the privilege of meeting several times over the years while our mother was with Pasquale. Ralph had some great conversions with us about life, that were uplifting and humorous and we also apologize for the late condolences. Yours respectively Kent and Kevin.
