elevated TQXfo It is with great sadness that the family of Randall H. French announces he peacefully passed away at Hill House Hospice on May 3, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving Husband of Maryanne, devoted Father to Ryan and Travis. Randall is now joined with his parents, the late Harold and Bernice French. He will be dearly missed by his brother, Leonard (Colleen), and sister Cyndi (Pete). Will be fondly remembered by his Mother-in-Law, Anne Langdon. Dear Brother-in-Law to Terri (Rob) and Jim (Line). Will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and best friend Roy Rice. The family will be forever grateful to David Montgomery for his special gift.

Rarely in Life do you find someone with all the amazing qualities that Randy had, he was an amazing husband, father, friend. My sincere condolences to the family, he fought an amazing battle. Cheers my friend until we meet again.
Though I never got to know you at Transdev, I heard so much about you and how the Operators spoke highly of you. Rest in the arms of the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus Christ.
It was a great honour to be a part of Randy’s life. He was such an extraordinary man—always kind, generous to a fault, patient, long-suffering, supportive, and strong. He was a wonderful friend. I will miss him deeply.
It was a true blessing to have worked for Randall. He was more than a boss, it was an honour to have been his friend.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I can remember Randy bring in the delicious chocolates that his Mom made for Easter. He always had a smile and a kind word.

What moves through us is silence, a quiet sadness, a wish for one more day, one more word, or one more laugh. We may not understand Randall’s haste for leaving this earth before we were ready to say good-bye, but gradually, we begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived, and that his life, his manners and his charisma gave us memories too beautiful to forget. In the word of Khalil Gibran:
“When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.”
I too had the privilege to work with Randy many years ago. He was respectful of and compassionate towards all our staff with tremendous patience and an ability to draw out the best in our team.
It was a true gift having known Randall as a friend first, and then as my boss here at Transdev years later. Randall was a leader who earned my respect. My thoughts, prayers and condolences go to the family during this period of loss.
Randall brought such a light into so many peoples lives and was the positive force that made every day a true blessing.
He was an incredible friend, husband and father. He will be missed by many and will always be in our hearts.

I drove Guelph Transit when Randall was General Manager here. He was a very kind, caring boss who respected and cared for those working with/for him.
I had the pleasure of working for Randall for many years in Guelph. He was an amazing man I will never forget. I cannot be there to pay my respects, but know my thoughts and prayers will be with MaryAnn, Ryan & Travis. A special man that will never be forgotten💕
Maryanne, Ryan and Travis…I was honoured to have had the opportunity to have had Randall not only as a mentor but a friend. He was patient, kind, understanding and he could always make me laugh when I was having a bad day. I hope you will find comfort in your wonderful memories and knowing that he is resting in peace. He will be greatly missed.

Randy was a kind, gentle, friendly person who was good at his job. Every time I bumped into him, he had a nice word for things and a smile on his face. He will be missed by all.

Growing up together our families spent many
fun times at Woodbine Beach and the Cottage.
We know his pain and suffering is over and he
is now with loving family who have already
embraced him. So many special memories
we will fondly remember. Randy will be missed,
however he will always hold a special place in our
hearts.

There are no words to express the sadness i am feeling, there will always be a special place in my heart for all the wonderful memories we shared growing up. For many years we were inseparable but life has a way of changing, sometimes not the way we want. I would like to thank Maryanne from the bottom of my heart for being such an amazing wife and partner and taking such good care of you. I wish you nothing but the best in the future. Ryan and Travis, you were Randy’s pride and joy, I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling. My sincere condolences go out to each of you.
I met Randall at TTC almost 40 years ago. We shared many adventures and good times with friends and family. Throughout all the years he embodied the best of integrity and compassion. He will be missed.
Maryanne, Ryan, and Travis: I will remember Randall as a gentle man. Never showing any anger, even with everything he was going though. He was a fighter. I believe he has gone to a better place, and has found peace. My deepest condolences to you all.

Randall was able to wrap the struggles of our business world in empathy and compassion. For me, his smile brought sunshine into the cloudiest of days. I will miss Christmas ornament shopping with him (yes, it is true), his smile, his warmth and his laughter.
