Francis Raymond Mathias born in Springland, British Guyana on December 10th, 1934 to Francis and Ismay Mathias (nee Cardoza). He passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife and son at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough Ontario on Sunday February 7th, 2021. He leaves behind his beloved family that brought him much joy. 

A devoted loving husband to his wife Catherine Mathias (nee Boudreau) of 59 years, his son Frank Mathias and his beautiful family, wife Catherine and grandchildren Joshua Tyler and Eli Jacob. The youngest of five children. Preceded in death by his older brother Stephen Ignatius Mathias, survived by his siblings Mary Clare Mendes, Dennis Francis Mathias and Gertrude Norma Jacobs. A much-loved family man known for his skill in golf and gardening. He was always ready for a good joke and known to yodel with cowboy tunes. He will be fondly remembered by many and greatly missed.

elevated Twrx2 Due to COVID-19, a private funeral and interment will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home and Cemetery, Thornhill. A public celebration of Raymond’s life will be held at a later date.
