elevated WeGIC Obituary
It is with sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Raymond “Ray” Galica in Collingwood at the age of 48 surrounded by the love of his family. Raymond was born in Toronto to Douglas Puepke and Wanda Galica. He is survived by his loving partner, Maxine Kessler and adored son, Chase Galica. Raymond is a cherished nephew of Joe (Bea) Galica, and cousin to Lyndsay (Dan) Morrissey and Jacqueline (Kevin) McKeown. He will be greatly missed by the Kessler Family who also deeply loved him. Back in high school, he was collaborating with like-minded friends making music. He played with many musicians including those in his first band, Driven with Aggression, and most recently he played as a prominent member of BATTLESCARRED, and Out of Spite. And when he wasn’t making music, he was restoring and customizing cars, which was another one of his passions. Many expressed his kindness, and what a great Father and Son he was, and how his memory will live on in his music. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Royal Victoria Hospital- Oncology Unit or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

How the pain must fill each moment as so many tears you cry, How your heart must ache with sorrow as you have to say goodbye, But although your precious son travels on to pastures new, All the memories that you shared, he leaves behind with you, May they keep him close beside you and when time has eased your pain, May they help to bring a smile to your sad heart once again.
Grief is a journey, and Wanda please know that I’m going to be here for you every step of the way.
Sending you love, hugs and prayers for strength during this difficult time.
Maxine there are no words to express my sorrow for your loss
I will always carry a piece of Ray in my heart.
He was always ready to help me in whatever I needed to do..
Peace and strength and love for the hard days to come . He was much loved 💖
My heart breaks for you and your family. Ray was taken far too soon, and I can only imagine the pain you’re all feeling. He’ll always be remembered with love — especially by Chase, who will miss him so deeply. I’ll hold a special place for him in my heart, too. He shared a birthday with my son, and from now on, I’ll think of him fondly every year as we celebrate. May his memory always bring you comfort and love. 💔
It’s been a long time bro. We had some good times back in the day. Sad to hear about this news. DWA FOREVER!!
Maxine, Chase and family we are so sorry to hear of Rays passing
Maxine, Chase and Family:
We are so very sad to hear of Ray’s untimely passing.
Ray was always there to help, always there to encourage and always the “wrench” chasing his dreams.
A soft spoken even tempered and kind man that we will sorely miss in our lives.
One of the good ones for certain.
Our sincere and heartfelt condolences.
Richard and Brenda
