Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing away of Rebecca Canitano on November 3, 2021 at the age of 26. Cherished and adored daughter of Geralynn Hale (Ron Mustill) and Louie Canitano (Jeanne Kim). Loving Stepsister to Elliot Mustill. Loving niece to Laura and John and cousin to Luke and Daniel Frangella.
elevated POj2o Rebecca will be reunited in heaven with her loving grandparents, the late Giovanni and Rose Canitano and the late Eric and Ena Hale and the late Uncle Alan Hale.
elevated POj2o Rebecca will be lovingly missed by many family and friends.
elevated POj2o The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.) from 11:30 am -1:30 pm on Saturday November 13, 2021. A Private Mass of Christian burial will take place by invitation only, within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph following the visitation. The final rite of committal and interment will take place privately at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street Thornhill). What a beautiful service for Becca. I will always have such fond memories of her, especially her continuous smile and infectious laugh. All of her new friends nicknamed her “Tiny,” but her skills on the volleyball court proved them wrong. Her outlook on life was so beautiful and she always was thinking of how she could help others. I send you and your family my everlasting love for bringing this beautiful person into this world, as she touched each and every life. Thank-you for introducing me to her and allowing me to form this bond with her; my heart is truly touched forever.
