It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Renato at the age of 69 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.
elevated rzWok Beloved husband of Anna for 44 years, Renato was a devoted father to Angela and Domenic (Daniella), and a cherished Nonno to Emilia and Gabriel. He is predeceased by his daughter Linda, mother Domenica, mother-in-law Annunziata, and father-in-law Servilio.
elevated rzWok Renato will be deeply missed by his father Angelo, brothers Giulio (Louise) and John, and sisters-in-law Maria (Antonio) and Lucia (Ermindo). He will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Canada, Italy, and France. All who knew him will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
elevated rzWok Born in Veroli, Frosinone (Italy), Renato immigrated to Canada with his parents at the age of two. Raised in Toronto, he was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Bills. He treasured his childhood spent with his brothers and cousins and carried that strong sense of family throughout his life.
elevated rzWok Renato was always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. He took great pride in tending to his vegetable garden and found joy in sharing its harvest with family and friends. Known for his warm personality and infectious spirit, Renato was truly the life of every gathering and had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went.
elevated rzWok The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at North York General and Sunnybrook Hospital for their compassionate and exceptional care.
elevated rzWok While we mourn Renato’s passing, we are grateful for the time we shared with him and find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his loved ones in heaven.

Angela our father’s brought us to be friends they met at princess Margaret Hospital Your father was the most kind loyal friend to my dad… i enjoyed my talks with your dad. He would call me to check up on my dad. Even when he was going through a battle with Cancer.. I’m grateful for your dad giving my dad support while being at the hospital together.. your dad was a blessing to my dad. I will always remember your dad. We were deeply saddened to hear of your father’s passing. There are no words that can truly ease the pain of losing someone so loved, but please know that our hearts are with you during this difficult time.
Your father was a kind and wonderful man. We feel fortunate to have known him through the years of watching our boys grow up together and sharing so many wonderful childhood soccer memories.
We are especially sorry that we are unable to attend the viewing and be there in person, as we are currently in Portugal. Please know that despite the distance, we are thinking of all of you and holding you close in our hearts.

We met Renato as our manager, but he quickly became so much more than that. He was a respectful, caring leader who carried a smile everywhere he went. His catchy phrases still echo in our minds, and his ability to brighten even the most stressful days—whether with a joke, a kind word, or simply his presence—was something truly special.
Renato created an environment where people felt valued, supported, and seen. His leadership left a mark on each of us, and his warmth made our team feel like a family.
He will be dearly missed by all of us who had the privilege of working with him.

We will miss you tremendously Zio. Thank you for all the laughs over the years. Thank you for taking me to McDonalds for the first time as a child. Thank you for letting us pick out the best cookies at the grocery store when we came over for sleepovers with Ang and Dom. Thank you for coming over with Ang and Dom to watch all of the Wrestlemanias when we were kids while we all ate pizza and popcorn together.
You will always be part of some of my greatest memories. You were always the first to say “Cheers” at all of our family events…So “Cheers” Zio, I know you are getting the party started in Heaven 💜
