Fr. Joseph Hygino Henriques, C.Ss.R, affectionately known as Fr. Gino, passed away peacefully on May 12th, 2026, in Singapore.

elevated 6t2sC Born in India in 1936, Fr. Gino dedicated his life to faith, community, and his loved ones. Over his many years of devoted ministry, he served communities in India and Canada, and spent the last 40 years bringing his faith and warmth to Singapore and East Asia.

elevated 6t2sC He was the devoted son of the late Luis and Maria Henriques, and the beloved brother of the late Francisco Henriques and Belinda Soares (Denis). He was a cherished uncle to Michael Henriques (Sonita), the late Duane Soares, and Sharon Soares-Van Tassel (Daniel). He was also a proud and loving granduncle to Marcus, Emma, Sebastian, and Castiel.

elevated 6t2sC Fr. Gino will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched through his lifelong ministry.
