It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Ricardo Bettencourt on September 25th 2020 at the age of 54. Survived by his parents Maria and Antonio Bettencourt. Loving father to Samantha, Sara(Garnet) and Sabrina Bettencourt. Brother to John(Kim) Bettencourt and Luciano Bettencourt. Uncle to Madison, Brooklyn and Michael Bettencourt. Grandfather to Kinsley and Mackenzie Williams. Rick was born in São Miguel, Portugal. His family immigrated to Canada in April 1974, when Rick was just a young boy. He spent most of his adult life in Brampton, Ontario, where he created a life for himself and a beautiful family. Rick was proud to have worked for the Peel Board of Education for many years, and always brought joy and laughter to everyone that knew him. Rick had a great love for music and loved attending live venues and music events. He will be loved, remembered and forever missed for his outgoing personality, hilarious jokes and great sense of humour.

Sorry for a great loss, I wish I got the chance to meet someone like him. From what I read and how strongly his daughter feels for him, he sounds like a amazing soul.
