May you rest in peace Rita. You were a strong woman.
My sincere condolences to Michael and Anthony and the whole family.
Sending deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved mother. I will always remember how friendly she was and her great smile! I met your mom through the CWL. She was a very kind woman, always ready to help and lend a hand. But most of all, your mom’s faith was what I admired most about her. I would always see her at church, many times sitting right behind my family. She was an inspiration. Going to miss her deeply.

Rita was a lovely person. She was always very nice to my mother even when my mom had communication disabilities, because of a stroke, and she always went out of her way to pay some attention to her at whatever event we met at or at church.
RIP Rita.

‘Auntie Rita’ was one of my mother’s, Joan Simmons (nee Porter) best childhood friends. I love to think of them playing together on Silverthorn and Prescott where she also was friends of my father’s, Ron Simmons. She told me many mischievous stories about those days and it is a pleasure thinking of their reunion! Always kind, Rita was a great heart. Huge hugs for Anthony and Michael.
Anthony, Mike and family – our sincerest condolences. We are saddened at the news of Rita’s death . Rita was a faith-filled and warm person who loved her children and her family more than anything in the world. She will be missed. Please be assured of our closeness and prayers. May Jesus who called Rita take her home and may Jesus grant you inner healing.

God bless Rita. She was the kindest and most generous person that I’ve ever met.
Sincerest condolences to Anthony, Michael and family.
Rita was a friend of my sister Joan. She was one grade ahead of me in primary school. My sister Joan and she were close friends. After Joan died in 1995, Rita and I began to keep in touch more often. Although we were not in each other’s lives a lot we talked on the phone. I soon began to value her caring, good humour and faith filled positive outlook. Condolences to all who will miss her especially her son’s Anthony & Michael and her brothers Ronnie & Francis

Rita was always Aunt Rita to us. When I think of her I she always had a smile. And when I think of her I also think of my mom.
